Installation & Configuration for SMS / SCCM Users

Summary: For MS Outlook Configuration of Live Meeting 2007 1. Guidelines for installing LM2007, utilizing the SMS/SCCM process
If the SCCM/SMS download is not available, please download the LM2007 directly

2. Managing your LM2007 account(s) with the User Registration Tool 3. Test your Outlook Live Meeting Add-in Connection, including scheduling a TEST meeting with a colleague 4. Optional / Advanced options for recording a LM2007 with sound 5. Get some online training from Microsoft, if needed (recommended)

LM2007 Installation & Configurations

1. Close ALL Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Communicator) 2. Click on SMS Available Packages
Windows XP: Start / Programs / SMS Available Packages Windows 7: Start /All Programs / SMS Available Packages Select Live Meeting 2007 from the list and click Run. The program will install

LM2007 Installation & Configuration

3. Having installed the Live Meeting Client and its Outlook Add-In, (1) Please RUN the LM2007 User Registration Tool; (2) Start the LM2007 Client to validate the installation: Windows XP Users: Click on Start / Programs / Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Windows 7 Users: Click on Start /All Programs / Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Click on the Live Meeting User Registration Tool. Run it to completion. Click on Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 to initialize it. Close the Client.
NOTE: The LM2007 User Registration Tool will automatically create your Live Meeting account and pre-populate the Outlook Add-in Portal URL.

Outlook Configuration
4. Start Microsoft Outlook
Click on the Conferencing menu and select User Accounts

The User Account window will open.

You will get confirmation that your Live Meeting configuration is correct. Click OK. If the Test Connection fails, please call the GSD / GHD for support.

5. Once all options are properly configured, please download and print the LM2007 Quick Reference Guide PDF for your reference
Invite a colleague to attend a Live Meeting

Upload a PowerPoint presentation and make sure all is well

Optional / Advanced options

An advanced option would be the ability to use LiveMeeting Recording, which would integrate with their telephone conferencing service. To configure Audio Options that are multimedia-enabled, Live Meeting organizers can download the Audio Configuration PDF from the Live Meeting Support Web site.
