APPENDIX 12 STUDENTS CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE REGULATIONS 1. TITLE


These regulations may be called The Hazara University Students Conduct and Discipline Regulations

2. APPLICABILITY AND COMMENCEMENT


These shall apply to all students on the rolls of Teaching and Research Departments of the Hazara University, the Constituent Colleges and the Affiliated Colleges of the Hazara University and shall come into force with immediate effect.

3. STUDENTS CODE OF HONOUR


a) b) c) d) All Muslim students must show, in words and in deeds, their full faith in Islam. All students must have faith in and respect for the Ideology of Pakistan. All students must in matters of religion, respect the convictions of others Every student is expected to: i) Be a patriotic Pakistani; ii) Obey the Laws of the Land as well as the regulations of the University/College;

Maintain law of the land as well as dignity and prestige of the University. Have respect for morality and personal honor and rights of others. Practice honesty and integrity in dealings with fellow students, teachers and all others both on and off the campus. vi) Help in protecting the life, dignity, honor and property of the University/College and that of the Academic/Administrative staff and fellow students. vii) Respect teachers, all elders and persons in authority in the University/College. viii) Be courteous and helpful to all. ix) Work hard and cooperate in completing the course of studies within the prescribed period, and x) Endeavour positively towards creating an atmosphere conductive to healthy academic pursuits. e) No student shall: i) Utter, do or propagate anything repugnant to Islam both on and off the campus. ii) Say or do anything which might adversely affect the honor and prestige of Pakistan, the University and its teachers. iii) Smoke anywhere within the campus as Hazara University is a NON SMOKING campus. iv) Form or associate with an organization/society/club/group or any other body, promoting caste distinctions and inciting insular/linguistic/regional feelings. v) Organize or hold any function within the premises of the University except in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations.

Collect money or receive donations or financial assistance for, or on behalf of the University or any University organization except with the written permission of the Vice Chancellor. Stage, incite, or participate in a walkout, strike or any other form of agitation which might create law and order problem for University and affect or is likely to affect its smooth functioning. Indulge in immoral activities, use indecent language, wear immodest dress, wear shawls etc, make indecent remarks, jokes or gestures or behave in an improper manner. Cause disturbance to other. Disturb peace and tranquility of the University. Keep or carry weapons, narcotics, and alcoholic drinks, immoral or subversive literature. Use of insultive or abusive language or resort to violence against a fellowstudent or an employee of the University. Indulge in any kind of unfair means, malpractice in examination or class tests.
