Managing Marketing Information

I've mentioned several times the importance of decision-making for managers. Companies hire managers not only to make decisions, but also to make good ones; and I must say, you better have good information If you want to make good decision. This doesn't happen by coincidence, you must "wire" your company to effectively catch data, transform it on information and create knowledge that will make your company learn and make better decisions everytime. Recent development on Internet technologies have enabled the new and challenging discipline of "Real Time Marketing". I find the whole idea of real time marketing really fascinating and consider that it is one of the most important challenges that us, as Marketers, must face to gain the preference of our customers. Technological advances and rising customer expectations will make this happen sooner than we think. So that the question is, are we prepared? Are our organizations designed to effectively deal with real time marketing speed? And what about our competitors?
