What Is in the Cave?

Culminates in an engaging chapter story

Chapter 3
Bob runs out of the cave onto the hillside. He cannot see the cup. It is lost in the rocks and sand. I am a wreck, says Kim. Bats and I do not mix. Bob says, How can we get the cup back? We will not see it if the sun sets. A thin ray of the sun hits the cup, and they see it shine in the rocks by the sea. What luck, says Bob, and he runs to get it.
17

Chapter 3

Bob picks up the cup and says, Wow! This cup is made of copper and jade! There is a date on it, too. He rubs the cup and sees the date 1768. I bet this cup came from a shipwreck in 1768! Bob says. We can take it home in my backpack. If this was in the cave, do you think there are Kim stops! Her eyes open wide! She shakes! She sees a white, shadowy shape by the chest. What IS in that cave?
