Political and constitutional development from 1207 to 1857 in Sub-continent: Muhammad Bin Qasim laid the foundation of Mslim

dynasty in the sub-continent in 711.After him Ghaznavids grasped the rule of Sub-continent in 975 and remained till 1186. Ghauri dynasty started after the fall of Ghaznavids from 1148 to 1215. The Delhi Dynasty started after the death of Shahbud din Ghauri 1206 to 1526. Delhi dynasty cover approximately 3centuries and one can easily see the formative phases regarding the political and constitutional development in Subcontinent. As far as constitutional development is concerned, it is crystal clear that one cannot comprehend the constitutional development in this particular period of 1207 to 1857. Actually the fact is that in this era there was the King or Baadshah is the all in all. He was the parliament, court, bureaucracy and other respective administrative institutions. So thats way the process of constitution making was kept in the back burner till the advent of Britishers. So far as political development is concerned, one can understand the analytical and chronological order in the pages of history. Dehli Sultanet from 1206 to 1526 had the five further dynasties. First one was Mamluk Dynasty from 1206 to 1290, in this dynasty reader had the view that slaves became very powerful and it was framed by the slave Shahbud din Ghauri. Qutbud din Aibek, Illtutmish, Ghiasud din Balban were the great ruler who strengthened the slave dynasty or muslim rule in India. The second one was Khilji Dynasty in India from 1290 to 1320. This dynasty led by famous ruler Ala-ud-din Khilji. They were recognized for having repeatedly defended India against the Mughal invasions on India. Third one was Tughlak Dynasty which covered the period from 1320 to 1414. This dynasty lasted for approximately 100 years. Sultan Muhammad Bin Tughlaq and Firoz Shah Tughlaq

were powerful emperors during this era. Firoz Shah Tughlaq introduced many reforms and also states in Southern India became independent. The forth dynasty was Sayyid Dynasty from 1414 to 1451. In this period Syayyid dynsty faced successive invasions from Taimour and these invasions weakened the Delhi Sultanet and period of chaos was started. This dynasty spearheaded the process of vaporization of Delhi Dynasty. The last and fifth dynasty was Lodhi Dynasty from 1451 to 1526. The last ruler of Sayyid Dynasty Ala-ud-din Shah voluntarily abdicated the throne of Delhi Dynasty in favor of Bahlul Lodhi in 1451. The last ruler of this dynasty was Ibrahim Lodhi who was defeated and killed by Babur in the famous first Battle of Panipat on 20 April, 1526.
