THE GUIDE FOR THE PERPLEXED

Many Jews are perplexed, Can we take President Obama at his word about our beloved homeland when she is threatened by nuclear annihilation? We like the President. But we are perplexed too. Every positive on Israel is offset by a troubling negative. You can resolve this confusion by asking yourself this one question: How many of the people President Obama has surrounded himself with would you invite to your Seder table?
The Chicago Years
Bill Ayers Close associate of the President 19952006. Friends and neighbors. Served on foundation boards together. Ayers helped fund the Presidents first campaign for office. In 1974, he wrote, Our silence or acceptance of pro-zionist policy is a form of complicity with U.S.backed aggression and terror. (Prairie Fire, p. 128) Helped organize Gaza Flotilla. Advocates BDS. Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. President Obamas pastor for 20 years. Married him and Michelle. Baptized his daughters. Wright was President Obamas spiritual mentor, moral compass, sounding board, friend. Wright: Israel guilty of injustice and racism, ethnic cleansing. Endorsed 2012 Global March to Jerusalem, which seeks freedom for Jerusalem and its people and to put an end to the Apartheid, Rashid Khalidi LA Times: Khalidi and his wife frequent dinner companions of the Obamas. Obama gave special tribute to Khalidi at 2003 Palestinian event. Michelle attended 2008 party celebrating birth of Khalidis daughter. Khalidi, close associate of Yasir Arafat, served on PLO Guidance Committee at 1991 Madrid peace talks, and reported by Christian Science Monitor to refer to PLO as we. Khalidis books praise Arafat, describe Israelis as illegitimate occupiers of Israel proper. Abunimah YouTube: I knew Barack Obama for many years as my state Senator, when he used to attend events in the Palestinian community in Chicago all the time. Barack Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation. Candidate Obamas Senior Foreign Policy Advisers

Washington Post 10/2/07 identified candidate Obamas senior foreign policy advisers as Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley, Samantha Power and Susan Rice. (Some later denials under pressure) Brzezinski 2009: advocated that U.S. shoot down Israeli planes if they attacked Iran. December 2008 MSNBC interview: rocket attacks from Gaza merely annoying, do not justify Israeli military response. Israels response to Hezbollah attacks in 2006 amount to killing of hostages (referring to Lebanese caught in crossfire) Malley and parents close personal friends of Yasir Arafat.
