Checking-In of Luggage
Make sure that: 1. Your luggage has a luggage tag with your full name, school name and country. 2. You have locks for all zips and openings. 3. Your luggage is not full. You need space in-case you buy anything in China. 4. You will check in ONE luggage at all times. One haversack will be hand carried. 5. There are no sharp objects on you or your hand carry bag. No sharp objects such as nail clippers, scissors, Swiss Army Knifes, etc. No aerosols, cans, lighters and flammable liquids.

Packing tips
Pack heaviest items first. On the bottom of the suitcase, pack shoes, travel alarm, etc. Use luggage space wisely. Stuff socks into the toes of your shoes (not into the one you are wearing). To protect your shoes, wrap them in T-shirts if you don't have shoe bags. Roll sweatshirts and undergarments to fill space. A full bag helps keep the contents from sliding and wrinkling. Don't pack too much. Pack strictly according to the packing list. Use lightweight bags if possible. Canvas or nylon bags are more practical than leather. As you pack, make a list of the contents of your suitcase. Bring this with you in case your luggage is lost or stolen and you need to make a claim. Be sure your luggage is clearly labelled. Remove old airline tags. Make sure your name and address is in a prominent place on the outside and inside of each luggage piece. Pack and repack articles in the same order each time. During short stays, you'll be able to reach into your bags and find what you want without unpacking completely. Be prepared for unusual weather. A cold spell can happen, layering your clothing is a good way to be prepared because layers can be added or removed. Test the weight of your bag. Walk around with your bags for a few minutes. Do they feel too heavy? Your check-in suitcase should not exceed 20 kg. Consider a suitcase with wheels to make baggage carrying easy, or use a cart to make trips through airports and accommodation less stressful.
