Dr Rahul Mirchandani is the Executive Director of Aries Agro Limited, an Indian Multinational company in the business of manufacturing of micronutrients and specialty nutritional products for plants and animals. He has 12 years of rich and varied experience in areas that include marketing, sales promotion, public relations, marketing finance, strategy and corporate communications. Aries Agro has the countrys largest manufacturing base of 150,000 MT to produce a range of 85 of Indias most respected plant nutrition brands and an unmatched distribution reach covering 90,000 retailers and 8 million farmers in 22 Indian States. Rahul holds a Doctorate in Management Studies from NMIMS University, Mumbai. His Research focused on developing a demand forecasting framework for industries where the past is not representative of the future or where past data is unavailable or inaccurate. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Canberra, Australia. In addition, he also holds an Honors Diploma in Sales & Marketing from NIS Sparta and two Advanced Diplomas in Business Finance from ICFAI. A National Merit Scholar, Rahul also teaches at several Business Schools. He has been a visiting faculty for Rural Marketing, Marketing Finance, Consumer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing Communication, Agribusiness Management, Entrepreneurship Management and Marketing Research at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, the University of Bombay and at the NMIMS University, Mumbai. He was a lecturer in Marketing and Organizational Behaviour at the University of Canberra, Australia and has delivered sessions on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Oxford University, UK and has lectured at over 50 B-Schools in India. Rahul has written several Research papers and columns for Business journals and leading Indian newspapers including the Economic Times, The Hindu Survey of Agriculture, the Hindu Business Line, The Times of India and the Indian Fertilizer Journal. He has also spoken on various topics at the UK India Business Council, Deakin University India Exchange Program and at India@75 Vision Ambassador workshops. His article on the 4 Es of Marketing, published in the Journal of Indian Management has proposed a new paradigm for developing an extended Marketing Mix in todays emerging markets.

Rahul is a Past National Chairman of CIIs Young Indians, the youth arm of the Confederation of Indian Industry. He has held several key positions within the CII-Yi, including National Chairman Youth Affairs, Event Chair for Agromax, India in 96 hours, the Young Leaders World Summit and United Nations Simulation as well as the Yi Net Leadership Summit. He has also been the architect of Yis Farmers Net program and has served on the CII National Council, the Yi Governing Council, CII National and Regional Agriculture Committees, CII Innovation Council, CII International Policy Council and the CII India@75 National Task Force. Rahul has been the Chairman for the Yis Next Practices platform which looks into the identification and evangelization of 'game changing ideas, inventions and innovations that have a potential to change the dynamics of sectors and industries while positively impacting development of the nation as a whole. He has also chaired Yis International Relations and Partnerships for the year 2011-12, and played a key role in connecting Yi with 28 Youth organisations globally. Rahul was the President of the Indian Delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit in Toronto, Canada in June 2010 and in Nice, France in November 2011. He also represents India as part of the G20 Young Entrepreneur Alliance as Chair of the G20 YEA Governance Committee and is the Founding Chair of the Commonwealth-Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE). Rahul represented the Commonwealth at the International Labour Organisation Youth Employment Conference in Geneva in June 2012 and is the Chairman of the 1st CAAYE Young Entrepreneur Summit 2012. Recognized as one of the worlds foremost achievers in his field, Rahul is listed in the Whos Who in the World 2013. He is also the recipient of the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Shakti Award 2010 in recognition of outstanding achievements towards Youth Empowerment and Inclusive Growth.
