Those look good so far, Bill. Only one request - for the Potato Bowl announcement slide - please replace the image of the church on the slide with a
football (to help people make the connection between the Super Bowl and the Potato Bowl). In the text below, please simplify to focus people on
what they need to bring; a topping to share and a can of soup for the Food Bank. At the bottom of the slide put the words "Sign Up Today"

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the slides after the sermon.

What
A Friend
We Have
In Jesus

What a friend we have in Jesus, Have we trials and temptations?

all our sins and griefs to bear! Is there trouble anywhere?
What a privilege to carry We should never be discouraged;
everything to God in prayer! take it to the Lord in prayer.
O what peace we often forfeit, Can we find a friend so faithful
O what needless pain we bear, who will all our sorrows share?
all because we do not carry Jesus knows our every weakness;
everything to God in prayer. take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,

cumbered with a load of care? What
Precious Savior, still our refuge;
take it to the Lord in prayer. A Friend
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
We Have
thou wilt find a solace there.

Here I, the Lord of sea and sky,

I have heard my people cry.

I am All who dwell in dark and sin

my hand will save.
Lord I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
Dan Schutte (words and music, 1981)

p. 593

I, the Lord of snow and rain, I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I have borne my people's pain. I will tend the poor and lame,
I have wept for love of them. I will set a feast for them.
They turn away. My hand will save.
I will break their hearts of stone, Finest bread I will provide
give them hearts for love alone. till their hearts be satisfied.
I will speak my word to them. I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send? Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord. Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord? Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night. I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart. I will hold your people in my heart.
