Read this example: In my desk there are some pencils and some books. Some and any are used with countable (pens, books, pencils) and uncountable (music, water..) nouns, to describe an indefinite or incomplete quantity .
SOME ANY
We use some in affirmative sentences.
NO
We can use no with a verb in affirmative instead of not any.
Exceptions:
We often use some in questions when offering or requesting something that is there.
E.g.: Would you like some coffee?(offer) Could I have some more juice? (request)
