Recommended Voting Procedures

1. If you are voting by phone (You do not subscribe to Verizon, or you are a Verizon customer without a texting plan) Immediately following the live performance show, use the toll free number assigned to Carly for that nights performance. Vote as many times as you can during the initial two hour window. Keep trying even if you get busy signals because you will have plenty of time to do your facebook voting later.* Once the initial two hour window closes, vote online 50 times for each facebook account user ID. For information on facebook voting see tips and tricks below. If you live in CST/EST please read tips and tricks #6 below. 2. You are texting your vote or using the Xfactor app(Must be a verizon customer with a texting plan) Immediately following the live performance show, text the word Vote to the four digit short code assigned to Carly. If you are using the Xfactor app you simply tap carly's picture for each vote. Vote as many times via text as you can during the initial two hour window. for more information about the Xfactor app see tips and tricks below. Once the initial two hour window closes, vote online 50 times for each facebook accounts user ID. For information on facebook voting see tips and tricks below. Please also read tip #6 below *Facebook voting closes two hours after the show ends in Hawaii (that's 3am CT). For voters in Hawaii you'll only have the initial two hour window to do all of your voting. 3) Voting with twitter I t doesn't look like this is an option is is availible this season. I will update if there are any changes.

Voting Tips and Tricks

Facebook Voting Many people already have more than one account eg.. work, home, kids etc. you can vote up to 50 times on as many as you have. Go to www.TheXFactorUSA.com log in with Facebook and vote. The website will not tell you when you have reached the 50 vote limit and votes beyond this limit will not count. 2. Voting with a phone using the toll free number (dial-up) Call in to the number provided during the show. 1-855-THEXF 01 (- 02, -03, -04, -05, -06,-07, -08, etc) The last two digets are assigned to a particular contestant. Call in as many times as you can for as long as voting is open (two hours beginning as soon as the show ends in your timezone.) Please read tip 6 below Voters can get lazy when they think their favorite act is safe, and people who split votes will vote more for an act that they think is vulnerable. This often results in a week where the top acts end up on the bottom. This seems to happen around top 5,6 and 7. eg. Drew Ryniewicz, Pia Tuscano, Jessica Sanchez (judges save was used) Ella Henderson(UK). 4.Voting with the xfactor app. You must be a Verizon customer with a texting plan, and be using an android phone. This is text voting simplified. You just tap on Carly's picture, and the app will text the vote. To get the xfactor app you call **XF (**93) from your smart phone or you can download it here: http://www.thexfactorusa.com/app 5.Voting with Skype or VOIP. If your call is routed to a different time zone you will be limited to that time zones two hour voting window. If you are getting through to the thank you for voting... message then your vote will be counted. 6.Voting with Skype East Coast and Central Skype can dial up to 9 votes a minute! If you live on the East Coast or in the Midwest you can vote by phone for two hours then wait an hour and vote for two more hours with Skype! Here is a voting schedule for CT/EST:

CENTRAL STANDARD TIME (Chicago) 9pm-11pm Initial two hour (Phone & Text) Voting window 11pm-12am No phone voting for one hour (could use this time to vote with your Facebook accounts) 12am-2am This is your two hour (Skype) voting window *Note: Facebook voting is open from 9pm to 3am EASTERN STANDARD TIME (New York) 10pm-12am Initial two hour (Phone & Text) Voting window 12am-1am No phone voting for one hour (could use this time to vote with your Facebook accounts) 1am-3am This is your two hour (Skype) voting window Note: Facebook voting is open from 10pm to 4am PACIFIC STANDARD TIME (Los Angeles) 1)Facebook 7pm-10pm 2)Vote by phone,Text or Skype 10pm-12am 3)Facebook 12am-1am All Skype calls enter the phone system in California no matter where the call originates. All Skype votes must be placed in the two hour voting window after the performance show airs in California. (3 hours after it airs CT/EST. This gives people who live on the East coast and in the Midwest an opportunity to get in a lot more votes.
