John Truppa, Army The family of PFC Nicholas Hudspith, Army-Kuwait has informed us that Nicholas has safely returned from Afghanistan. They truly appreciated all your prayers. Please remember our dearly departed who have passed away recently especially Carmela Griscti and Catherine Kearns. May they rest in peace. Please remember that there is a special intention book located in the Baptistery of the church. Give Yourself a Spiritual Gift First Friday Adoration on December 7th


On First Friday, December 7th, Eucharistic Adoration will be held in the church Starting after the 12:10 p.m. Mass and concluding with Holy Hour from 8:009:00 p.m. Bring your own prayer book, read the Bible, silently pray the rosary, or just sit and relax and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being in the Presence of god. All are welcome. Why not ask a member of the family or a friend to come with you? Thank you for signing the attendance book which will be placed on the table at the entrance of the church closest to the rectory.

The Little Sisters of the Poor at our Church Doors this Weekend
The Little Sisters of the Poor will be at the doors of the Church following each Sunday Mass this weekend November 17th and 18th. They seek your help to continue their wonderful work with the poor and elderly. Please be as generous as possible.

Sandwiches Donation eeded for St. Josephs in Elizabeth


On ovember 20th we will deliver sandwiches made at home by Our Lady of Peace parishioners to St. Josephs Social Service Center. The sandwiches will be used in various community outreach programs.

Parents who are anticipating the birth of a child please call the rectory during regular office hours for details concerning registration for Baptism and information If you have any questions about how to make and package concerning the Pre Baptism Conference the sandwiches or youd like to be put on our monthly reminder call list, please call Marie Russo at 908 918 0779 or Archdiocese of ewark Arlene Hluch at 908 604 6674.
Bring the sandwiches to Our Lady of Peace on the Tuesday morning: From 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., sandwiches can be left in the vestibule of the church on the side closest to the Rectory. From 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., sandwiches should be brought to the lobby of the Parish Hall. At 9:30 a.m. sharp, we leave for St. Josephs!

Rescheduled Prayer Shawl Ministry Meeting


The prayer shawl ministry meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Gail Seely. New members welcomed. For directions and information regarding this ministry, and for the donation of particular knit and crochet yarns please call Gail at 908-464-4109. Our Lady of Peace, St Teresa of Avila and Little Flower have organized a joint effort to provide

Emergency Storm Relief Assistance


to the people of the Highlands, J Our Lady of Peace will be collecting:
ow through ovember 23rd Cleanup Supplies bleach, Lysol, sponges, rubber gloves, work gloves, mops, buckets, respirator masks and Febreeze The weeks of ovember 25th and December 2nd - Power eeds flashlights, batteries, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets The weeks of December 9th and 16th - Clothing new socks, new packages of undergarments, and new long johns as the cold winter weather sets in. Non-perishable food items and paper products will be accepted at Our Lady of Peace during the entire collection period. Boxes will be placed in each of the entrance ways of the Church to collect donations. All donated items will be directly given to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Mother Teresa Regional School, and St. Agnes Church in the Highlands, NJ that were devastated by the October 29th storm.
