World History and Geography Scenario: You are a professional tour guide for Central Tours International who has been hired to lead a group of 6th grade students through the ruins of the ancient civilizations of the Americas. As the tour guide you must develop and create the informational brochure to accompany your guided tour. This brochure must be simple enough for a 6th grader to understand and must contain the following features and information: Cover Page Name and purpose of tour, your name, company name, and additional information, related image. Civilizations Briefly explain The cultural aspects of Mayas, Incas, Aztecs, Nazca, and Pueblo cultures o Religion o Art o Government, o Society o Unique accomplishments o How geographic features affected culture o Graphic (picture of the region, handdrawn or printed) Comparing This section will put cultural aspects of the Civilizations different civilizations side by side in order to easily see similarities and differences. How you format the comparison is up to you. Map of the Americas The map will be the entire center foldout cannot be printed from section of the brochure. It must be colored. All the internet, except for cultures mentioned in the brochure must be the outline of the outlined and labeled. Major geographical continent features must be labeled (mountains, rivers, etc). There must be a key and a compass rose. Key Vocabulary You must use and highlight key vocabulary in every section throughout your brochure and have a definition page to define the key vocabulary. Graphics/Pictures You must use graphics to reinforce the ideas and content within your brochure. Dont be word heavy. Break up the content by

inserting pictures, diagrams, etc. to make it more interesting and easy to understand
