Check it ts
TRL have conducted a public campaign in the UK called Check it ts to check how the public are using CRS.

10% were found not to be appropriate i.e. child too big or too heavy 9% were not compa\ble with the vehicle 27% had some sort of misuse rela\ng to the installa\on of the child into the child seat 36% had some sort of misuse rela\ng to the installa\on of the child restraint in the vehicle

China is the largest producer of CRS


Currently, around 90% of children travelling in vehicles in China are NOT restrained in a suitable child restraint system and every year more than 18,000 children under the age of 14 die as a result of a road trac accident. A new compulsory regula*on for child restraint systems to be introduced and implemented soon TRL and IQTC (Guangdong Inspec*on and Quaran*ne Technology Center) signed an MOU to develop a vehicle safety laboratory in China
