PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please continue to pray for Judy Miller as she recovers from her open-heart surgery. The doctors are pleased with her progress, but she has a long way to go before being pain free - let alone cleared to run a marathon! Please pray that the church Kindy will be complete in every way by December 4th. Please pray that the Lord would raise up people from WHAC to bless, and welcome, and reach out to the families who will be involved with the church Kindy. Please pray for John and Nicolette, in addition to all of the Nanjans, as they welcome their new baby into their home and their hearts. Please continue to pray for the McGowans. May the Lord keep His hand upon David especially as he struggles with his many challenges. Pray for members of Song Shan Church in Taipei and a short-term team that will partner in coordinating Yunlin County Christmas outreaches

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that: The Childrens Ministry begins part way through the service. This is for children between the ages of 3 13 years. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

NEWS
Do you glow in the dark? If so, then the WHAC beach day is for you! This afternoon from 2:30, our church family will be meeting near the playground at Browns Bay beach for an afternoon of... well... whatever we want, and all are encouraged to attend! Bring a blanket, a cricket set, sand toys, sunnies and sun block so that you don't go from glowing white to glowing red throughout the afternoon. It will be loads of fun if you come along, so please do. Rain date: November 25th.

Are you handy with a hammer? To make the best use of our storage space, we will be constructing some new shelves. If you would like to help, please see Pastor Matt today. A new addition to the family! On Thursday morning, just after 10:00, John and Nicolette welcomed their healthy baby girl into the world following a successful delivery. Mum and bub and family are all doing well, and will certainly appreciate your prayers in these early days.

Thank you for joining us today and you are warmly invited to stay and enjoy some morning tea.

in November... others (ahem) have been playing it since July, and why not? Because Christmas is awesome! And to celebrate this wonderful season, WHAC is once again going to be hosting a Community Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 15th! Our Children's Entertainer has been booked, a planning team has been formed (new people are welcome!), and all you need to do is watch this space for details!. A Financial update Thanks to your faithfulness in giving, the first term of our financial year saw reach 93% of our targeted giving number. Praise the Lord and good for you! At WHAC, we give as an expression of worship and love to the Lord, and I truly hope and trust that the Lord was honoured among us this past quarter. Unfortunately, these first months are always expensive for us, and, as a result, we are currently in a $1,082 deficit position. A place for everything... ... and everything in it's place. As the renovation of our facility winds up, we will be having a three evening work bee (December 2nd-4th) to re-stock the kitchen with our plates and bowls, etc... in addition to putting the collected bits and pieces that have found a home in our sanctuary back where they belong in our storage areas. Art will have to be re-hung, chairs will have to be re-placed, and we'll need to bid a sad farewell to the big blue oil drum as it returns to the deep recesses of our building. Many hands make light work, as they say, and everybody's help will be appreciated. Feel free to sign up at the back table this morning.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:15
