What is STAGE School?

STAGE School is a guided experience for young people interested in theatre and the dramatic arts STAGE School will:

Coach participants in the three primary skills areas of TV/Video, Movement, Song Facilitate young people developing workshop-based drama improvisations Build confidence and skill towards a public performance

STAGE School will be held over five days in the school holiday at La Motte Street. 10.00am to 3.00pm.
The course will be run by experienced young performers and drama students Ryan Williams and Alex Barnes. Ryan and Alex have designed a course that is accessible, exciting, fun yet challenging & informative. Both tutors will be supported by the experienced youth arts staff of La Motte Street Youth Centre. The course is open to young people aged 11-16yrs who should show an emerging interest in drama and performance. La Motte Street is fully equipped with performance spaces, technical performance equipment, stationary, rehearsal and recording facilities and refreshment/snack bar so all participants needs are catered for on-site.
