To what extent the principles of the French Revolution have been successful? The French Revolution was a revolt of social and political problems. The monarchy that had ruled France collapsed in only three years. New principles like equality, citizenship and natural rights were the keys for the destroy of old ideas about tradition and religious authority. The women in those times hadnt vote, the cannot be involved in politics, the male domination was presented. Liberty, equality, fraternity, or death; the last, much the easiest to bestow, O Guillotine. The most important principles that marked a part in this revolt were liberty, equality and fraternity. Liberty represents freedom. It is being able to make ones own decisions freely and having the opportunity to be able to express ones own beliefs without fear. This ideal of was shown in the revolt constantly because everyone wanted to say what they think they had fear that was the major problem in those times of war. The Declaration declared that all men were born and remains free, and had natural rights to liberty, property, security. The defense of this freedom was the death of the old regime. At the same time the power in political situations was very respectful and no one can questionate it. Equality can stand for being equal in law and to maintain the same rules, status, rights, respect, opportunities and privileges for all kind of people. This was shown on the night of August 4, with the elimination of feudal rights. At this was happening the legal equality was beginning. We know for equality a huge meaning, if we want a better world we have to put on practice all these ideals before it would be too late. Fraternity is similar to community, which tells us that everybody can share a common interest or purpose. With the destruction of aristocratic privilege and the rights, equality was granted to all citizens. The loyalty of this brotherhood had changed from the monarch to the state. Fraternity without absorption, union without fusion. In conclusion, these three main ideals of the French Revolution are very important because we are trying every day to apply all our knowledge in our present lives. With this we can avoid many problems that present in political, religious or moral situations. We are trying very hard like being an example and having present all this ideals for the future. With these we can create a better world completely new and without disadvantages.
