Chapter One
Introduction
It was another Monday, another new week for me to pour my heart and soul into my leg training, to build those masterful legs that will have everyone talking. And leg train I did, week after week, month after month, and year after year.

You see, I had just started competing in ladies bodybuilding. Overall, for a novice, I faired well against my peers. Sure, I was wet behind the ears and had some learning to do my first couple of years, but I had a deep passion for muscles, weight training, and competing. I struggled to do my first bodybuilding competition, and without guidance I had no idea how to prepare. I did my best and received 4th place in the womens novice division. I approached the head judge after the contest and asked what I could do to improve, and he stated that my legs needed to be larger and more developed. Well, at least I have something to shoot for to be better the next year. After my first year of competing

I hit the gym a few weeks after that show all pumped-up and with an enhanced vision, bigger legs. I continued to train and work on my legs the best I knew how.

A few guys at the gym tried to help me with my leg training, giving me pointers and all that jazz. However, I received ten different approaches from ten different people. I kept plugging away at it, trying different techniques to find what works, to find out what is going to build those legs that get me noticed, on and off the stage.

After several had months of training I been going through my poses to access my weak points for improvement and I noticed my legs were STILL under developed. Personally, I felt quite embarrassed to call myself a bodybuilder because I didnt possess the powerful and well-built thighs I should have. You would think that with all the time, dedication, exercises, sets, reps, food, supplements, etc. that SOMETHING remotely in the leg growth department would have happened.

I grew frustrated with my leg training, and the lack of results.

So, I

resorted to my bodybuilding books and bought more bodybuilding magazines, hoping to find the missing leg training element. The one true leg training secret that was going to build me those great legs I so desperately wanted.

Yeah, I had all the general bodybuilding books from the book store such as

Cuts and The Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding, as well as a slue of


bodybuilding magazines such as Musc leMag, Muscular Development, IronMan, and my All time favorite Flex. I quickly thumbed through my bodybuilding literature, searching for leg training programs to try, hoping that one of them would be the golden ticket to building phenomenal legs.

More weeks went by and eventually a few months After some grueling leg workouts from the training programs extracted from my information sources, still no dramatic changes, not the changes that I wanted.

While these information sources had some good insight and some basic detail, none were up front, giving the real information on how to build awesome legs.

I did get my legs a bit bigger, enough to get compliments from the judges that competition year. I competed in two contests and received a 2nd place in the womens novice division in a natural contest and placed 4th in the womens novice division in another local show. That off-season I trained to better myself, and my legs, to take 1st place. That was my goal! I put 100% in all my body parts, but I put 110% into my legs. With all the information that I gathered over the years, I formulated my own program including diet, cardio, weight training, and supplementation. It was nothing that I copied, it was just a collection of quality information that I dissected and formulated into a killer leg training system. With all my hard and smart work, I finally saw results I wanted.

I competed in two bodybuilding contests that year in the womens open division, placing first in both, and took overall in one! You would think that after reaching my goal of first place, and topping that with overall, that I would retire. I thought to myself, how much better could I get? How else would I know if I didnt try?

From there I worked even harder, and smarter. I put 120% into my leg training in that off-season and really got busy. I made every leg day count, and there were days I could barely walk out of the gym. Not to mention a few times of almost losing my lunch due to the intensity of my leg training. All my hard work paid off and I entered two national qualifiers and placed first in both, and overall in one.
