Zanpakutou(Shikai)

Name: Myoujou

Command Phrase: Shine, Bringer of Dawn.

Family: Fire/Other(Plasma)
Type: Kidou/Attributed

Form: When released, Myoujou shines brightly as its shape changes to that of a Tai Chi broadsword.
The hilt is red worked wood with a sun embossed on both flat sides. The guard and pommel are both
bronze in color and the hilt has gilded wings of fire etched into it with rising sun placed in between
them. The blade is steel and still has the yellow gleam to it. When released, the air around the blade
begins to distort as it is heated by the blade. Within moments, the air ignites, surrounding the blade
in a yellow-white glow.

The Spirit of the zanpakutou is a beautifully young female in the nude, bathed in soft yellow light.
Her hair stands on end as if blown upwards by the wind. Large wings of fire spread forth from her
back. The innerworld in which the spirit exists is a large orchard with a rising sun in the distance. No
matter how much time passes, the sun never moves. When Sanosuke's inner balance is disturbed,
the trees lose their leaves and appear barren and the sun appears to be setting instead.

Abilities:
Corona - Myoujou is surrounded by a flaming aura much like the corona of the sun. This aura burns
incredibly hot, but does not affect its wielder. Capable of catching flamable materials on fire as long
as they do not have a spiritual presense. The aura is visible as a yellow glow surrounding the blade.
This flaming hot aura synchronizes with Sanosuke's own unique, fiery reiatsu pattern, conferring a
30% Kidou increase.

Attacks:

Taiyou Furea - When Myoujou is swung at the enemy and the phrase “Taiyou Furea” is said, a beam
of fire and light in the form of an arcing flare(If I had to describe the exact appearance of the arc,
would look something like a fiery shark's fin moving across the surface of water) is shot out from the
blade, traveling towards the enemy.(Can be fired on the ground or in the air using a path of reishi.)
The arc travels up to 170 feet and is about 8ft. tall. When it reaches the enemy, it flares out at them,
resembling an arcing solar flare (Arcs up 20ft.). Damage is based on Reiatsu and Kidou. Reiatsu cost
is 4%.
Damage equal 6% Connection+15% Kidou

Sougyou - With every clash of Myoujou receives, it builds up energy, drawing in light from around
the area. After 3 turns, the sword builds up enough light that it must be released. Then, when
Sougyou is uttered, the light is released in a brilliant flash, blinding all opponents for a single turn
within a 15 meter radius. Ability costs 1.5% Reiatsu and will not affect those not looking in
Sanosuke's direction.

Flaws: The ability Sougyou requires significant natural light. This can be countered by placing the
blade against ignitable objects and catching them on fire.

Bankai
Name: Akatsuki no Megami, Myoujou.(Goddess of Dawn, Myoujou)
Release: Myoujou is quickly spun by the tassels at the end of its hilt. As the spinning speed increases, it
creates a glowing circle of increasing size. When the circle reaches the size of Sanosuke’s height in
diameter and Bankai is uttered, at golden form immerges from the circle in the shape of a very tall version
of Sanosuke’s Zanpakutou Spirit.
Type: Separate
Abilities:
Red Giant: While Sanosuke still holds Myoujou in his hands, it no longer possesses its initial shikai
powers as they have been transferred to this summoned version of the sword’s spirit. The Bankai form
takes the shape of a young and beautiful woman in the nude and bathed in golden light. Like Sanosuke’s
zanpakutou spirit, this figure also has a pair of flaming wings.

Stats:
Zanjutsu: 60% Sanosuke’s Connection
Hohou: 60% Sanosuke’s Connection
Kidou: 60% Sanosuke’s Connection

Aurora: Sanosuke can summon Myoujou’s physical representation to him. When he does, she wraps her
arms around Sanosuke from behind and fuses with him. This leaves Sanosuke with Myoujou’s pair of
flaming wings which act as a shield against Kidou when he brings them in front of himself. This ability
costs 3% of Sanosuke’s reiatsu a turn to maintain.

Equals Sanosuke’s Reiatsu: Blocks up to 30% of strength from Kidou spells directed at him.
3/4 Sanosuke’s Reiatsu: Blocks up to 50% of strength from Kidou spells directed at him.
1/2 Sanosuke’s Reiatsu: Blocks up to 70% of strength from Kidou spells directed at him.
1/4 Sanosuke’s Reiatsu: Blocks up to 90% of strength from Kidou spells directed at him.

Attacks:

Solar Explosion: While Myoujou is in her summoned form, she can use a powered up form of Taiyou
Furea. At as cost of 8% of Sanosuke’s Reiatsu, Myuojou unleashes three Taiyou Furea’s, which all
converge on Sanosuke’s targets. Strength from these beams start at 6% Connection + 8% Kidou. (The
Kidou portion is derived from Myoujou's summoned stats)

Shinno Bankai
Name: Taiyou Kuiki, Myoujou
Release: The summoned Myoujou strikes the ground with her sword of light which releases a circle of fire
that spreads out to a 50 foot diameter. The flames quickly rise, forming a 40 foot high dome. The ground
catches flame, resembling the surface of the sun, and as they do, Myoujou disappears and reforms around
Sanosuke as a set of red samurai armor and katana. The walls of the arena burn flaming hot, preventing
those inside from exiting as well as others from entering.

Abilities

Corona Sphere –
The arena summoned by Myoujou is covered by an immense wall of plasma like energy. This fiery barrier
prevents entry or exit during combat by generating an aura of heat ten time the amount of that within the
arena itself. Those below half of Sanosuke’s base reiatsu would be incinerated by touching it. Stronger
opponents, those of half strength up to Sanosuke’s full reiatsu mearly receive third degree burns in the areas
touched by the arena’s edge; though the longer they touch the wall, the worse the damage. Stronger than
that and it is the equivalent of second degree burns in the affected spots, and no more.

Photosphere –
The area inside the summoned arena is incredibly hot, starting out at 100 degree temperatures. Every turn
Shinno Bankai is active, the temperature increases another 10 degrees to a max of 200 degrees. This
sweltering heat would be enough to boil weaker opponent from the inside out, especially during the throes
of combat. Against stronger, near equal opponents(those equal or above) this mearly acts to slow the
opponent down. As the temperature increases, so too does the opponent’s ability to react quickly. This
comes in the form of lowering the opponent’s Hohou stat and Zanjutsu or Hakudo stat (whichever is
higher) by 2% every turn they stay inside the arena (max of 20%) at an expenditure of 1% of Sanosuke’s
reiatsu a turn.

Sun Spot (Kokuten): The armor surrounding Sanosuke is one of two fold ability. First of all, being
standard samurai armor reinforced by Sanosuke’s reiatsu, it is capable of deflecting a good degree of sword
attacks, reflected by a decrease of damage from physical attacks by 15%. The primary ability of this armor
however, is that it acts as an insulator to the incredible heat inside the photosphere, fighting off the negative
effects of the temperature bearing down on Sanosuke’s opponents and causing a powerful aura or Light and
Fire around him..
This also boosts the effectiveness of Sanosuke’s Fire and Light based moves by 20%.

Attack:

Solar Winds (Kazetaiyou): With a swing of his katana(and the cost of 10% of his reiatsu.) Sanosuke can
summon up 3 fiery tornadoes which whip about the arena. Costing another 2% reiatsu per turn to sustain,
these tornadoes can be used to attack Sanosuke’s opponents. Aside from producing tornado force winds,
each fiery twister can deal 7% of Sanosuke’s reiatsu per turn. Sanosuke can attack with each tornado once
per turn.

Kyoushou Bankai(One Attack Type)


Name: Saigo Shinsei (Last Nova)

Used as a last line of defense, Saigo Shinsei is a desperation move. Usable only from Shinno Bankai state,
Saigo Shinsei temporarily destroys Sanosuke’s zanpakutou(Can only use this once per grading period).
Upon the use of the attack, the arena, armor and sword all glow bright white. In this seemingly suicidal
attack, Sanosuke expends half of his remaining reiatsu to unleash a devastating explosion within the domed
arena that encompasses the full 50 foot diameter of it. This explosion does a staggering 40% Max
Reiatsu+10% Kidou in damage to any opponents caught inside the blast. However, it leaves Sanosuke
severely drained and weaponless after unleashing this attack.
