Family Role Models: My mother who is a good writer encouraged me to record my life through writing when I was six years old. At first, she would find some pictures posting on my notebook to make me depict stories imagined myself. Since Chinese characters are difficult to imitate at first, mom suggested me practicing with patience and insistence, for the progress cannot be evident in a short time. She told me each character has its deeper meaning involved in history and culture, so master as many as characters can be a good reader gradually. Meanwhile, my father would insist on reading newspaper, no matter how busy he was. This behavior had lived a strong impression on my mind that adhere to reading everyday. Mostly, we share our reading pieces during diners, as well as remark upon the events. Both sharing and remarking makes me reflect on what and how we read. Reading and Writing for Pleasure: It is my favorite type of reading and writing. Usually I writing for pleasure as keeping diaries. I can express my inner world without hesitation about my happiness, depression, or my secrets. When I am at a loss, I just catch some simple words to tell my book what happened but neednt to be embarrassed. I enjoy reading books on animals, for it revels the mysteries of nature. Survival of the fittest in natural selection, I learned a lot from this phrase. Technology: I owe my English study to the technology. I started learning English when I was in primary school. However, we didnt have many accesses to listening to oral English or practice spoken English. So I used tapes to play English as well as record my spoken English. Later, there were more and more resources on the Internet for English learning. I searched on the Internet to pick up materials attracted me so that I could learning with pleasure. Resources like pop music, movies, fictions, and some radio programs play parts in my English process.

Special program: I signed up for some English camps during my summer vocations. During these programs, I had chances to apply what I learned into daily life. It

Cai [2] helped me switch my English ability from Reading & Writing to Speaking & Listening. I did comprehend some cultural background through communication with native English speaker.

Self-Motivation: As it mentioned in this piece, I wanted to read so I could have independence from my parents and teachers. After mastering Pinyin, I was hooked on reading; even sometimes I gave up practicing piano to reading. I re-read those books my mom read for me. It is amazing for a girl to read the books by herself rather than others read it to her. Through reading a variety of books, I did accumulate knowledge of natural science as well as human studies.
