Students will Be able to name and describe the planets and order. Students will work Independently work on solar system worksheets for completion, work on a KWL Chart as a whole group and write in their science journals daily. Supplementary Materials: Solar System power point Theres No Place Like Space by Dr. Seuss Solar System worksheet Science journals Review/Assessment: Informal assessment will be observed during independent work time. Science journals will be spot checked for completion. Solar System Worksheets will be graded for completion and accuracy. Reflection: I believe this will be a great introductory lesson for the solar system. Students should be eager to learn more about the planets with detailed instruction Coming in the days to follow.
