iam 26 and ive been having acne problem for 3 years eventhough ive seen many doctors and used many products (medicine and cosmetics)untill now. Nothing helped me except roaccutane. Actually the creams i used made my skin worse. When the last doc i saw suggested me to use roaccute i felt horrible due to the things ive read and heard about roaccutane before. That moment i wanted to shout outWHY! After a long search and soothing words of my doc i accepted the treatment. Now its my 4th month with roaccutane.I take 30mg everyday since i am 50kg. i do not have any side effects but dry skin and lips. I use some special cosmetics for dehydrated skin and high protection sun cream my doctor recommended me so that the side effect does not bother me. Every month my doc checks my kidneys, livers and cholestrol to be sure evertything is ok and thankfully they are all okay. My skin? fresh and smooth! better than i expected! Consequently do not afraid of roaccutane just find a good doctor!!!

I have tried the regimen from acne.org, that involves using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, with great success, Here is a little routine taken fromthe site The Morning Routine (in the shower) (Tip: Brush your teeth first) Men: Wash body while letting water splash on face periodically. Generously lather hands with cleansing wash or bar. Apply thick lather to face as if it were shaving cream. Shave. Re-lather hands. Wash other problem areas gently with bare hands. The Regimen Women: Wash face in the shower the same way you would in the sink in the evening. Everyone: Very gently pat dry. Wait 5 to 15 minutes. Wash hands. Apply benzoyl peroxide generously with a featherlight touch. (do not rinse off) Wait 5 to 15 minutes. Wash hands. Apply moisturizer with a featherlight touch. The Evening Routine (at the sink) (Tip: Brush your teeth first) Splash problem areas with warm water. Lather hands with cleansing wash or bar. Gently wash problem areas with bare hands for 10 seconds or less.

When I first tried the oil cleansing method I used 60% EVOO and 30% castor oil, I dont recommend it, I had a severed breakout. I decided to try again few weeks later, but this time, I researched it extensively. I recommend using jojoba oil or grapeseed oil with castor oil if you have oily and acne prone skin. Olive oil is not good for your skin, too thick. I recommend starting out with 60% castor oil and 40% jojoba oil. In the end I went up to 75% castor oil and 25% jojoba oil due to my oily skin. I had a great result using this method, you should stick with the method for a while even though your skin clears completely, just to make sure it wont come again. Zincworks for me. Im a 16 year old girl who has moderate - severe acne plus hyperpigmentation. Ive researched everything and finally discovered that taking 2 50mg zinc gluconate caplets eveyday or other day with a meal clears my skin remarkably. I also suggest a skin product calledAcnevir(found at walmart), which is what i use alongside zinc. Its a topical gel formula( benzoyl peroxide) worked wonders.. Anyways i recommend this. Drink this with your daily recommended intake of water and of course a relatively healthy diet and your skin will improve! You will thank yourself and of course zinc! (Oh and the brand of zinc for me was a store brand at CVS)

My skin was at its worse and my self esteem was plunging with it. I tried to avoid looking in the mirror at all times b/c it was a constant reminder of acne on my face. I always felt that people were looking at my acne and not at me when i was talking to them. I was desperate to find ways of reducing and hopefully finally stopping the acne from appearing on my face. I read online about lemons that helps reduce acne and the scarring that follows with it. Although, I also read that drinking water with some lemon juice is good for acne and helps kick up your metabolism in the morning haha. I just used it topically and I have to say it really does the trick, but like it said it WILL sting while u leave it to sit on your face. It just takes a few weeks for it to stop stinging. My face was slowly getting better, but the scars from previous acne breakouts were still there. I like to call them battle scars since it sounds cooler LOL anyways. Lemons also help your skin to exfoliate from what i read so as i kept using it every night. My scars were slowly going away too. I know that this description is pretty long and it isnt enough to justify how well lemons do the trick since i avoided taking pictures also.... So please give lemons a try and see if it does anything for your acne! :D For pimples on my back (bacne) I use head and shoulders shampoo. Bacne treatment At first I take a shower, then afterwards I rub head and shoulders shampoo (the normal kind) and leave it on for 10-30 minutes before I wash it off with another quick shower. (CAUTION: This treatment can cause sensitive skin to dry up and even burn, so use at your own risk) Take 6 aspirin and grind them into dust, then mix with alcohol and let it sit for 3 days. Once 3 days have passed, apply the mixture to the area that is affected by the pimples. This treatment works best for teenage pimples. Cut onion in few pieces and boil in water then filter. Apply it on pimples with a cotton bud. Wait 3 min. Do it 2 times in a day ( 6 hours apart ) for a week.

Treatment Vitamin Cis a natural antihistamine, helping to reduce nasal secretions and inflammation. Flavonoids such as quercetin, rutin, and hesperidin also have antihistamine properties and work well with vitamin C. Luckily, this vitamin and the flavonoids occur together in many favorite garden foods, such as berries, plums, citrus fruits, peppers, spinach, and broccoli. Nettleis useful for reducing hay fever symptoms. Take a tincture made from the leaves. Use 2-4 mL three times per day. Nettle leaves can also be taken in tea or capsule form. Angelicaworks for hay fever as well as other allergic reactions. It contains compounds that block the bodys production of certain antibodies (IgE) that are made as the result of an allergic response. Use about half a teaspoon per cup of water for tea. Chili pepper, or cayenne, contains capsaicin. This active ingredient helps desensitize the mucosa that line the airways, thus preventing them from secreting excessive fluids and becoming inflamed when exposed to irritants.

Treatment Having had asthma for more than a decade I have tried many methods. I have tried to use yoga breating, coffee and other stimulants to use when having an attack. Nothing works except using Ventolin when having a breathing trouble. I use the inhaler the second I sense that my breathing is getting worse. If I wait too long I will suffer from serious breathing trouble and might pass out. 6-7 middle size, dark brown carobs have to be cut into pieces. Heat 0.5 L water. Wash the carobs. Put in boiling water. Wait 8-9 min. Filter the mixture and pour into a glass bottle when its cold. IMPORTANT: It can be kept in the fridge only for 3 days. Breath of Carob For adults, half glass of carob tea can be used before breakfast and dinner. For kids, half glass of carob tea can be used before breakfast. Drink for 20 days. After 20 days, have a small spoon of carob and honey instead for 15 days. IMPORTANT: do not eat extra honey for breakfast.

Back Pain
Title
Treatment Step 1 Wear properly fitted walking shoes and comfortable clothes. Walking shoes provide you with the support you need while exercising. Comfortable clothes prevent irritation and rubbing, which can make your walks painful. Step 2 Walk 30 minutes, most days of the week. If you are currently sedentary, start by walking as little as five minutes a day, gradually increasing the amount of time you walk as you feel more comfortable. Walking to relieve back pain Step 3 Add walk breaks throughout the day. Walk breaks are particularly beneficial if you have a largely sedentary job. A few minutes of walking every hour can decrease back pain that develops as a result of sitting in front of a computer or in a vehicle for extended periods of time. Step 4 Schedule additional activities for a change of pace. Bicycling, yoga and swimming all strengthen the back and are low-impact activities, making them good alternatives to walking. Common cold
Title
Treatment Drink plenty of fluids.Fluids may help thin the mucus, thus keeping it flowing freely and making it easier for the body to expel, along with the viral particles trapped within it. Water and other liquids also combat dehydration. So drink at least eight ounces of fluid every two hours. Rest.Staying away from work is probably a good idea in order to refill your energy. Your coworkers will also probably appreciate your not spreading your cold virus around the office. If you do decide to stay home, dont go cleaning the house or something like that, just relax, read a good book, watch television, take naps. Dont get cold. While cold air doesnt cause colds, it definitely does not make it better. So stay indoors at a temperature you feel warm and comfortable at and keep covered, especially if you have a fever. Dont place any unessicary stress on your body. Vaporize it.The steam from a vaporizer can loosen mucus, especially if the mucus has become thick. (You can get a similar effect by draping a towel over your head and bending over a pot of boiled water; just be careful not to burn yourself.) A humidifier will add moisture to your immediate environment, which may make you feel more comfortable and will keep your nasal tissues moist. Thats helpful because dry nasal membranes provide poor protection against viral invasion. Stop smoking.Do I really have to mention it? Maintain a positive attitude.Although mind-body science is in its infancy, some researchers suggest that a positive I-canbeat-this-cold attitude may bolster the immune system while you fight a cold. On the other hand, a negative attitude could cause your bodys defenses to fall down on the job. Not all doctors are convinced there is a connection between the mind and the immune system, but staying upbeat certainly wont make your cold worse.

Common cold
Title
Treatment Its not just a myth: Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center discovered that the benefits of chicken soup are more than just comfort and good taste. Chicken soup appears to have anti-inflammatory properties that may help us feel better while we wait for a cold to run its course. What they discovered is that chicken soup reduces the activity of neutrophils in the body. Neutrophils are part of our immune system -- a type of white blood cell that can trigger our bodys inflammatory response. By reducing that inflammatory response, chicken soup may help reduce cold symptoms. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, and like other antioxidants such as vitamin E, selenium and beta-carotene (which the body turns into vitamin A), it helps keep our bodies free from infection and fight off infections that do strike. Dont consider them protection from colds, though -- while there are conflicting results about the ability of vitamin C to protect you from catching a cold, the vitamin will likely only help to reduce your symptoms. In addition to adding more antioxidant-rich foods and supplements to your cold-fighting diet, also consider zinc. While the verdict is still out, zinc may help your body produce more white blood cells, your immune systems key infection fighters.

Eczema
Title
Treatment I started getting eczema when I was 27, I was bothered by it for quite a while while wasting money on steroid creams subscribed by so-called skin doctors. After a year and a half I read in a newspaper that dark honey is known to cure many skin illnesses. I started eating one table spoon a day and it completely cured me in about ten days. Now I dont eat dark honey regularly but whenver the eczema starts coming back i just eat a bit of dark honey for a while, problem gone. I have personally confirmed this over and over, the effect and its magnitude is beyond any reasonable doubt.

Eczema
Title
Treatment I have been suffering from eczema that is mostly affected by cold, making hands dry up so badly they start bleeding. My doctor gave me steroids which heals the wounds temporarily. But my father had a similar issue and used steroids to heal it but ended up ruining his skin, making it resemble plastic, so I am not too fond of using those steroids. Locobase REPAIR I have however had great success with the Locobase REPAIR cream, I use it daily and it keeps the eczema almost non existent. It does not cure it, but it sure makes it easy to live with it. NOTE: A friend of mine also uses a very similar substance from another manufacturer called VICHY, so if you cant get a hold of Locobase REPAIR, do some research and see if there isnt something else that you can get a hold of that has the same substance and ability to repair damaged skin.

Title
Treatment Step 1:If you are clear minded enough before going to bed, I recommend drinking a lot of water, and I mean a lot! at least 2 glasses. Step 2:Try to sleep for as long as you can, nothing beats a good nights sleep in order to cure a nasty hangover. My routine for curing hangover Step 3:If step 1 and 2 did not work then try drinking some more liquids, milk tends help a lot. Step 4:Eat a fat sweaty hamburger, or other equivalent. Step 5:Take a nap. Like I said before, nothing beats sleeping. Final step:If nothing else works the only solution, if you are in great pain, is to think short-term and open a can of beer. Let the future you deal with the problem tomorrow.
Headache / Cephalalgia
Title
Treatment A dose of an over-the-counter (OTC) analgesic, such as aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen, is often enough to alleviate the occasional headache. But if you take more than two doses a day frequently or for more than four or five days in a row to relieve headache pain, contact your doctor. Taking pain relievers too often can actually worsen your headache pain. Lying down and closing your eyes for half an hour or more may be one of the best treatments for a bad headache. For some types of headaches, such as migraines, sleep is the only thing that seems to interrupt the pain cycle. Recognizing the early signs of a headache can keep the pain from getting out of control, since doctors say the sooner you get to bed or lie on a sofa, the sooner a headache

Headache / Cephalalgia
Title
Treatment Especially if your symptoms resemble those of a migraine (such as severe pain on one side of the head, nausea, blurred vision, and extreme sensitivity to light), resting in a darkened room may alleviate the pain, experts agree. Bright light may also cause headaches. Even staring at a glowing computer screen may be enough to trigger pain on the brain. Wearing tinted glasses or using other means to filter bright light and minimize glare may help prevent headaches. A washcloth dipped in ice-cold water and placed over the eyes or an ice pack placed on the site of the pain are other good ways of relieving a headache. You might also see if your pharmacy sells special ice packs that surround the whole head (known as headache hats) or frozen gel-packs that can be inserted into pillows. Whatever you use, keep in mind that speed is critical: Using ice as soon as possible after the onset of the headache will relieve the pain within 20 minutes for most people.

Influenza (Flu)
Title
Treatment Get Plenty of Rest Plan on sleeping and otherwise taking it easy for a few days. This shouldnt be hard to do considering fatigue is one of the main symptoms, so you wont feel like doing much other than lounging in bed or on the couch, anyway. Consider it a good excuse to take a needed break from the daily stresses of life. And if you absolutely must continue to work, at least get to bed earlier than usual and try to go into the office a little later in the morning. Drinkplenty of any nonalcoholic, decaffeinated liquid (caffeine and alcohol both act as diuretics, which actually increase fluid loss) will help keep you hydrated and will also thin mucous secretions. The flu can cause a loss of appetite, but patients often find warm, salty broth agreeable. If youre not eating much, juices are a good choice, too, since they provide nutrients you may be missing.

Insomnia (Sleeplessness)
Title
Treatment You should finish eating two or three hours before bedtime. However, that comforting nighttime snack of milk and cookies may be just what the doctor ordered to get you back in bed. Sugary foods eaten about 30 minutes before bedtime can actually act as a sedative, and you can wake up without the morning fuzziness that accompanies synthetic sleeping pills. Honey has the same sedative effect as sugar and may get you to bed more quickly. Try adding 1 tablespoon honey to some decaffeinated herbal tea or even to your warm milk for a relaxing presleep drink. Drinking a glass of milk, especially a glass of warm milk, before bedtime is an age-old treatment for sleeping troubles. Some scientists believe its the presence of tryptophan, a chemical that helps the brain ease into sleep mode, that does the trick. Whatever the reason, milk seems to help some people hit the sack more easily. And warm milk seems to be more effective at relaxing body and mind. However, if you wake frequently to urinate, avoid liquids for a few hours before bedtime. Other foods high on the tryptophan scale are cottage cheese, cashews, chicken, turkey, soybeans, and tuna.

Insomnia (Sleeplessness)
Title
Treatment Some experts believe a tryptophan deficiency can cause problems with sleep. Made from tryptophan, 5-HTP helps the body make serotonin. Low levels of serotonin are a known factor in sleepless nights. Taking a 5-HTP supplement may be a benefit if your body has low levels of tryptophan. How do you know if youre low? Low levels of tryptophan are most common in people who are depressed. If your insomnia is associated with depression, it might be a good question to ask your doctor. In one study, 100 mg of the supplement was enough to make sleep longer and better. Melatoninis the timekeeper of the body. Its a hormone that regulates your biological clock. As you get older you make less melatonin, which experts believe is probably why older folks have more trouble sleeping. Research is showing that taking a melatonin supplement can help you sleep. Ask your doctor about taking 1 to 3 mg of melatonin 11/2 to 2 hours before bedtime. Valerianis a staple medicinal herb used throughout Europe. And, unlike benzodiazepines, using valerian to treat insomnia increases the amount of time spent in deep and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. Valerian contains chemicals with strong muscle-relaxant and sedative properties called valepotriates. All parts of the plant contain these chemicals, but they are most concentrated in the roots. Ironically, even valerian preparations without valepotriates have helped some people to fall asleep, raising the possibility that some still unidentified chemical, or a reaction amongst various compounds in the root, may produce a calming effect. One of the the best things I done was to get the best memory foam mattress I could afford I went for something that was around 75KG Ive never has such as great night sleep since. Top that off with some memory foam pillows and a pinch of lavander on the pillow did help me sleep. I also stoped eating upto 2 hours before going to bed and only drinking some water, nothing with stimulants in! I wish you the very best of luck :) Put on a pair of socks It has sometimes helped me to put on a pair of socks when I cant sleep. It makes you feel warmer and relaxes you so that you fall asleep more easily.

LeggCalvPerthes syndrome
Title
Treatment A highly effective treatment for Perthes disease consists in applying an external fixator to distract the femoral head in order to minimize the risk of collapse, resulting in a deformed femoral head causing a need for hip replacement later in life. The treatment consists in fixing an external frame to the femur and hip. This is typically left on for 3-4 months and then removed. After removal special braces may be used for several months. Physicians known to have used this treatment for a long time with good results are Dr. Dror Paley, St. Marys hospital, West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Nuno Craveiro Lopes, Garcia de Orta hospital, Lisbon and Dr. Shawn Standard, Sinai hospital, Baltimore. The fixator is typically used when the femoral head is starting to build up again after breakdown. Transphyseal neck to head femoral drilling has been used a a preventative treatment for Perthes disease for about 20 years. In the Lisbon area in Portugal, where a complete system for diagnosis and treatment has been put in place, the number of severe cases of Perthes has dropped by 3/4 since initiation. The operation consists in drilling into the femoral head in order to get blood flowing again, thus preventing the bone to break down as otherwise would happen. The best result (appr. 100%) is achieved if the treatment is applied at the very first signs of the disease. This treatment was originally invented by Dr. Nuno Craveiro Lopes, Garcia de Orta hospital, Lisbon but is being used increasingly by other specialists.

Migraine
Title
Treatment Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) can help reduce the intensity and frequency of a migraine attack. The reason is that people who tend to get migraines are thought to have unusually low levels or energy supplies left in their brains, vitamin B2 increases those supplies. Vitamin B2 and herbs The herbs Ginkgo and Feverfew also help in lowering the intensity of the pain, making the migraine attack easier to cope with. Other than that I recommend lying down in a dark quiet room during a migraine attack.
Morphea
Title
Treatment This treatment is one of many popular treatments that are being tried on various amount of people to try to cure Morphea. The UV light(Ultraviolet A (UVA)) therapy works in the way of entering special designed UV light cells. The time spent in the cells vary from ~5 minutes up to 20 minutes, depending on the process of the therapy. Notes: To participate in this therapy, one must contact a doctor. The person inside of the cell must wear eye protection glasses. UV light therapy During the therapy, the person will have to wear sun glasses on daily bases(at least on the days that the medicine is used), to protect the eyes; the medicine mentioned before makes the body be more vonurable to sunlight. Wikipedia lists those two reasons why and how this therapy might work: 1) by causing a systemic immunosuppression from UV light. 2) by inducing enzymes that naturally degrade the collagen matrix in the skin as part of natural sun-aging of the skin. Remember that there has not been found a single solution to cure Morphea, this might not work for everyone, results vary between people and often no changes are seen at all. A special medicine must be taken during the therapy.

Psoriasis
Title
Treatment I have tried all kind of creames and ointments since I first got the symptoms. The steroids creams work for a while but dont give any permanent cure. The best ointment I have tried is JOHNSONS Baby Oil with Aloe Vera. I just started using it some months ago and it really works on the symptoms. See here:http://www.johnsonsbaby.com/johnsons-baby-oil-with-aloe-vera-and-vitamin-e Exposure to sun can help the skin renew itself and reduce the symptoms of psoriasis. Also natural pools and baths you can find around the world can help but Icelands blue lagoon is truly amazing to releve the symptoms! I tried the Blue lagoon psoriasis clinic for first time last year and got much better after the treatment. I stayed there for two weeks and my symptoms got much better after it. Would though like to try it for longer period next time. The symptoms though came back and I think you will have to live in Iceland and go there every week to keep the symptoms down. I currently live in Belgium but I look forward to move back home and visit the Blue lagoon clinic on regular basis. Read about the clinic here:http://www.bluelagoon. com/clinic/psoriasis-treatment/
