Basic theories as they apply to proteins, vegetables, starches and cooking methods. To demonstrate the proper cooking techniques when frying, pan-frying, grilling, roasting, sauting, poaching, steaming and braising and using proper cooking techniques for meat, poultry and seafood using dry and moist heat cooking methods. Baking 1- Mixing methods, shaping and assembly, baking techniques, product identification and handling, sanitation habits, appearance and grooming and punctuality and attendance. Information Technology- Demonstrate technology based programs; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, video editing, image editing, Email etiquette, and creating an E-portfolio.
