Where is this place? What does it look like? What time of year is it? What kinds of things can you see, hear and smell?

4. Have the students illustrate/color the two settings they have described. 5. Have the students check their work for spacing and sizing of the written work. G. Assessment The student will stay on topic in their writing and illustrations and do this only for a setting and not to actually tell the full story. There is no rubric for this assignment. This is only a reading assessment and the student will demonstrate that he/she can gather the information needed from the story to fully answer the questions to correctly set up the settings. Reflection Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest to teach? To teach students how to gather the information to answer questions that provides details to their stories. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the most challenging to teach? The hard part for me would be to actually get the students to put their thoughts into written words on paper. Also to help the students figure out how to put their imagination from their mind, to the paper. What lesson or concept should be taught prior to this lesson? Students need to know action words and descriptive words. How will you follow up this lesson? Students will also be asked to write in their personal journals on a regular basis with different topics. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? Until I use it, I am not sure what to change however, maybe find other topics that I can apply this to as well. Also, maybe find other ways for the students to come up with different parts of stories other than asking them questions and having them just answer. I would like for them to be able to generate their own, but that is yet to come. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? Trying to get the lesson to flow smoothly as it seems a little choppy was a bit difficult.
