Introduction

Every organization, like every individual, has a unique personality and identity which governs the way in which it is seen and judged by the outside world. A key element of this personality is the visual identity. This is predominantly represented by a logotype, but also encompasses the overall uses of color, signage, printed material, advertising style and all other visual manifestations. The successful implementation of our visual identity will create maximum impact and synergy, whilst building awareness and raising our profile among our audiences. To communicate effectively and to maintain high standards we must actively manage our identity. Consistency is paramount. Great care must be given to every item we produce from stationery to signage, from literature to advertising.

Logotype colors

Both the primary and secondary logotypes must only ever be reproduced in full color, as shown here, or in black and white. Both logotypes have no maximum size restrictions but they must never be used smaller than their minimum sizes shown here. TBI BANK logotypes must only ever be reproduced from master artwork. Never redraw, or change the logotype in any way.

Logotype exclusion zone

Shown here is the minimum exclusion shown for both primary and secondary logotype. This is the preferred minimum distance and must be used where possible To ensure visual impact the logotype requires an area of surrounding clear space in which other type and images (i.e. slogans, photographs or other logos) must not appear. The space is proportional to the size of the logotype, as indicated opposite. This ensures that whatever the size, the clear space around the logotype remains relatively consistent. Always observe at least the minimum clear space around the logotype, indicated by the broken line. Wherever possible, the surrounding area should

Logotype on backgrounds

TBI BANK logotype in color It is preferred that both primary and secondary logotypes be used in full color and on a white background wherever possible. The black and white, or reversed out versions may be used for newspaper advertising, or forms, or when poor reproduction, or cost implications, prohibit the use of the full color logotype. TBI BANK logotype on backgrounds For maximum impact the TBI logotype should appear in full color on a white background. When the logotype appears on a dark color the TBI remains in black and is contained within a white block as shown adjacent. The full color logotype may be used on a color that is light, or dark enough, to provide enough contrast that the legibility of the logotype is not compromised. When required, on special promotional or gift items, the TBI logotype may appear in a range of non-color finishes, for example, silver, gold, embossed or etched. TBI BANK logotype on photographic backgrounds When the TBI logotype appears on, or is reversed out of, a photographic, or textured background, care should be taken to ensure the legibility of the entire logotype. It should not appear in areas of high contrast, or where the background is too close on terms of color and tone. When the logotype appears on a dark photograph the TBI remains in black and is contained within a white block as shown adjacent.

Communications imagery style

28

Shown here is the imagery style used in all TBI communications. All imagery is black and white with certain parts coloured in the segment colour. When colouring a section of the photograph it is important that the coloured section does not look too exact. It is preferred that it looks loose in style. For example, white edges may be left around the colour to give a more lively efffect. It is important that the images are cropped in the manner and style shown here to create a dramatic and consistant effect across all communications. There are six communication categories, - consumer credit - Small & Medium Business - personal banking - corporate Banking - Internet Banking - Leasing for colour information please see page 8 of these guidelines.
