that universal is perception consciousness sentience the Buddha dharma requires that we at least consider and also accept if we want to be considered to be followers of the Buddha Dharma that there is no perceiver no conscious being no sentient being no mind nothing on the Buddha Dharma there is only perception in which there is no duality of perceiver and perceived a unity of subject and object do we nor perceive a perceiver do we not perceive the perceived do we not perceive both subject and object there you have it all of it is pereived perceiver and the perceived are all perceived so there you have it perceiver and perceived subject and object are particulars and the Universal in which they are a unity is

Perception Consciousness could this be what mysticism is all about? about contemplation and observation of Perception all of perception including sensory perception including science what does it mean is it true that science spawns technology technology spawns business and commerce commerce and business spawns greed and over consumption what then does mysticism spawn if science spawns scientists technologists managers and meglamaniacs mysticism spawns mystics The difference is that the mystic perceives the whole and completeness while the scientist technologist businessman and meglamaniac are confined in a fragment of the whole the sensory fragment of whole consciousness it is because of this that while the scientist pursue truth in pure form for its own sake the technologist seeks to utilize the truth provided by the scientist and apply the truth of science to provinding for physical material sensory needs and desires of humans and other living beings the business man seeks to take what scientists and technologists have provided and convert it into personal wealth the meglamaniac seeks to take what the scientist technologist and

businessman have provided and turn it into power and control over multitudes of people and other living beings science as it is currently practiced - as a pursuit of truth which is limited to the fragment of complete and whole erception that we know as sensory perception is by nature irrevicably destined to to manipulation and exploitation by the greediest and least sensitive of all beings human beings who are quite willing to kill other human beings and may even enjoy killing for the purpose of accumulating wealth and power for the indulgence of their own physical desires While science inevitably encourages and support the most destructive and self centred of all human beings it has to be said that science also fulfills the purpose that most scientists and technologists intended the relief of human suffering due to poverty sickness and exposure In the whole scheme of things the purpose of science is to provide a material foundation for the awakening of consciousness an awakening that has been going on for a long time alreadyas evidenced by the ancient texts of the Tao of Greek Philosophy of the Buddha Dharma Thomas Berry has shared with us his consciousness of an impending massive scale awakening which although he hasnt elucidated it in great detail can be presumed to involve a great many people although it is probably true that a massive awakening of consciousness from the finite to the infinite state requires a technological infra-structure of the global scale and complexity that we have today in 1997 ( along with all the ecocidal tendencies it has already perpetrated and continues to perpetrate upon the fabric of Earth life - Gaia ) it has always been true that for the individual human being, there must be a basic level of material prosperity in the from of at least modestly adequate shelter clothing food, water and air in order for there to be a foundation opportunity upon which foundation opportunity
