What Women Fear Guiding Questions By Ruslana W.

Introduction The Question that Started the Question: Did he really say that? 1. What spoke to you personally from the pages you read in the Introduction? What resonated with you? 2. The biggest message in the introduction is about the following: Never once did Satan tell Eve to eat the fruit. All he did was to ask her if she was sure. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TO PLANT A SEED OF DOUBT. What is your reaction to this? How many times have we read the Forbidden Fruit story in Genesis and never really noticed that detail? Why is it an important detail to notice 3. What did Eve say back to Satan? If you were in Eves shoes and Satan came to you and said, Anna, are you sure you cant eat from that fruit? Did God really say that? How would you have responded? 4. It wasnt Satans first question that got Eve to sin. It was what he told her next. What was it? Why was it THE thing that changed Eves mind and got her to reach for the fruit? 5. Angie Smith says on p. 4 Fundamentally, every single fear comes from the lie spoken by the enemy in a garden designed to be a heaven: Are you sure? Are you really, really sure? Because you are staking your life on a claim that you might have just misunderstood. God says He is good is He? He tells you He has your best in mind does He? He boasts He is almighty, all-knowing, all together trustworthy is He? Thats how we fall into a trap. Share your experience when fear came from a lie spoken by the enemy in a garden designed to be a heaven. 6. Have you felt guilty as a Christian that because of your fear/anxiety/worry you are not good enough as a Christian, not strong enough, or spiritually weak? How does the authors approach to focus on what keeps you steady (the pole in your hands, using the teetering metaphor) instead of focusing on the net (God catches me when I fall) help you in your new understanding of a balanced life with Christ? 7. As you go through this week, start noticing moments of doubt and what behavior follows. What are you depending on when you begin to tip as you teeter on a tightrope of daily walk? Do you say a quick prayer? Do you say a four letter word? Do you panic? Do you phone a friend? Or do whisper Jesus name when you begin to tip? Dont expect a miracle and fearless life, just start noticing those moments when you begin to doubt and what happens next. The next chapter will take us to the next level. Dont rush transformation.
