1. Introduction Robotics is a fast growing technology in nowadays.

Because Humans are trying to make their job easy to do in an efficient & effective way but in nature or in reality humans cant act like that in such error free way so he is willing to get help some machines to perform the same job in that ideal way. Before to get idea about standards for future robots its necessary to know what is a robot & what is standard. The word robot is used to refer to a wide range of machines, the common feature of which is that they are all capable of movement and can be used to perform physical tasks. Robots take on many different forms, ranging from humanoid, which mimic the human form and way of moving, to industrial, whose appearance is dictated by the function they are to perform. Robots can be grouped generally as mobile robots (eg. autonomous vehicles), manipulator robots (eg. industrial robots) and self reconfigurable robots, which can conform themselves to the task at hand. Robots may be controlled directly by a human, such as remotely-controlled bomb-disposal robots and robotic arms; or may act according to their own decision making ability, provided by artificial intelligence. However, the majority of robots fall in between these extremes, being controlled by preprogrammed computers. Standard defined as "A prescribed set of rules, conditions, or requirements concerning definition of terms; Classification of components; specification of materials, performance, or operations; Delineation of procedures; or measurement of quantity and quality in [1] describing materials, Products, systems, services, or practices." But here is the problem is if we produced the robots with capable of feel emotion and capable of thinking in its own way then it will be a problem to humans because it might ask or requesting us legal rights. Sometimes they might raise their voice against human species. Robots with superior capabilities, definitely is going to be a threat in future. To avoid this situation we have to have well defined Standards or code of Ethics for robots but unfortunately we dont have such fully structured materials so purpose of this study is to get knowledge about the prevailing standards & ethics then conclude with appropriate set of standards or frame work for the standard & ethics.

2. Background and Motivation This topic Standards for Future Robots selected inspired by the Movies iRobot(2004), Enthiran(2010), Repoman(2010) & some books. In robotics there are two types of arguments going on regarding who will be rule the world in future Robots or Human? The people who is supporting the concept of Robots never beat human says three supporting facts for their favor which are Humans think a lot The creations of human origin are imperfect while nature is perfect. Nature has ultimate control of everything.

But the people against this using the same points to counter attack them. [2]

However both parties accepting on a common thing which is, In future we have to be ready to face the challenges regarding Robots. Increase in amount of robotic research around the world. [3] And many claim the robot revolution will cause just as much upheaval in our lives as did the Internet and the PC over the last three decades. Better technology, falling prices and a new-found surge in open source operating systems set the stage for significant growth within the next decade. In two years there will be 1.2 million robots working on Earth that is one robot per 5,000 humans. As of 2010, there are 34 robots working per 1,000 people in Japan. It is estimated that by 2025 robots will have taken over a whopping half of all jobs in the U.S. The hardest hit industries are predicted to be: manufacturing, automotive and food services. [4] If really a problem arise the people are not well prepare to face. Precautions are not even in completed in the conceptual way. And it will take more time to implement precaution because in several researches is going on leading countries in weaponry fields so therefore it has to be several barriers against the change in thinking pattern of the people. Necessary of this field implementation & the research regarding standard is already proved in above example even in movies. 3. Description on the area of study A Robot is a mechanical intelligent agent which can perform tasks on its own, or with guidance. In practice a robot is usually an electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer and electronic programming. Robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and come in those two basic types: those which are used for research into human-like systems, such as ASIMO and TOPIO, as well as those into more defined and specific roles, such as Nano robots and Swarm robots; and helper robots which are used to make or move things or perform menial or dangerous tasks, such as Industrial robots or mobile or servicing robots. Another common characteristic is that, by its appearance or movements, a robot often conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. There are organizations to perform such development in standards but those are mainly concentrated on developing standards for industrial Robots. Robotics Industries Association (RIA) is one of those RIA is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) [5], which has generated a legal framework within which the various member associations can write standards. When we are talking about standards for Robots Asimovs Law will get the important place. Asimov is a science fiction writer who coined the word Robotics in book. His well known laws are A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
