Directorate of Education, Gilgit-Baltistan is offering limited scholarships for the talented students of Medical and Engineering possessing Gilgit-Baltistan domicile and have secured at least 2nd Division in their last University / Board examination and got admission in any Public or reputed Private Sector Educational Institution recognized by PM&DC / Pakistan Engineering Council / HEC. However scholarships will be awarded to the students as per merit. Application Form can be obtained from Directorate of Education Gilgit in lieu of Postal Order worth Rs.100/Last date for the submission of Application Form complete in all respect is 20th March, 2010. 1) He/She should be student of any Public or reputed Private Sector Educational Institution recognized by PM&DC / Pakistan Engineering Council / HEC. However, scholarships will be awarded to the students as per merit. 2) 3) 4) He/She should be a bonafide resident of the Gilgit-Baltistan. He/She should not be recipient of any Scholarship from other government agency. Available scholarships will be distributed among the students at various levels of Medical and Engineering as per merit. However, minimum criteria to apply for this scholarship will be at least 2nd Division in their last University / Board Examination. 5) The candidate will not be entitled for Scholarship beyond the prescribed duration of course/ class i.e. extended year what so-ever the circumstance may be. 6) No scholarship will be allowed to a candidate whose application form is found incomplete and not received through the Head of Institution within the notified period of time. 7) Payment/ entitlement to the grant of scholarship to a candidate are liable to be cancelled if he/she is found guilty of misconduct towards the Scholarship releasing authorities. 8) Payment of scholarship can also be cancelled if candidate is proved to have mis-stated the facts regarding entries made in the scholarship application form at any later stage. 9) Recoveries regarding over-payment of Scholarships if any will be recovered from the student /guardian as and when such cases are detected. 10) Scholarship awarded can be discontinued to the students on receipt of mis-conduct reports from the Heads of institutions concerned at any stage. 11) The application Form must be accompanied by a postal order worth of Rs. 100/- in favor of Director Education (Colleges), in case Scholarship Form has been down loaded from web site i.e. gbdoe.edu.pk 12) The candidate must attach attested copies of following documents: i. ii. iii.
