TITLE Study of Customer Satisfaction for Tata Nano car in Ramtek area. (Oct-2012- Nov 2012)

AIM Customer satisfaction has been the focal point in all most all marketing management strategies in business organizations. Many researcher conceptualise customer satisfaction as an individuals feeling of pleasure or disappointment resulting from comparing a products perceived performance in relation to his or her expectations. This research work aims at ascertaining the the psychology of the customers while buying TATA NANO car. This will be helpful in product designing by small players who use to manufacture products for lower strata of the society.

REASONS FOR SELECTING THE TOPIC FOR RESEARCH The researcher has selected the topic to get a better insight about customer satisfaction & public opinion about TATA NANO car. This study would also help the customer to know more about the marketing strategies applied by TATA MOTORS . The car being positioned as a car for lower class people, its promotional strategies will be much more useful to know the middle class customer psychology for the luxury products like car. Investigation into the appropriateness of Tata Nano cars promotional strategies will reveal the intricacies of the customer psychology which in turn can be utilised for other small scale industries & their products.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

1) To study the concept of market promtion & marketing strategy. 2) To study the marketing strategies adopted by TATA MOTORS for TATA NANO car. 3) To ascertain the customer satisfaction for TATA NANO car. 4) To determine the public opinion towards TATA NANO car.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS

COLLECTION OF PRIMARY DATA The primary data was collected for the study by using the structured questionnaire for Customers and general public. Also interview method was used for collection of information from the manager.

RESEARCH APPROACH:-

i) Survey Method ii) Observation Method iii) Experiment Method

In this study, the researcher used survey method. In this method researcher asked customers & public about their opinion towards TATA NANO car & they do it through the survey.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT: Questionnaire:It is the method by which researcher take survey of customers of TATA NANO & public opinion towards it by asking them question about their opinion towards NANO car.

CONTACT METHOD:Personal Contact Method:It is systematic method by which one individual person can directly contact with researcher. And give their individual opinion.

SAMPLE PLAN:
It is plans of data collection in which researcher take a particular set of people by which the researcher can be occupy most of the research which the researcher selected. In this project the researcher selected Ramtek area. Here in Ramtek area, the researcher collect data from 50 customers and 200 general public opinion by survey method.

Sampling unit
Customers who are the users of TATA NANO and general public opinion towards it.

Sample size
This refers to the number of items to be selected from the universe to continue the sample. The sample size used for this study is as follows. Users of TATA NANO- 50 Customers Public opinion- 200 general public

Convenience Sampling Quota sampling Judgemental sampling Panel sampling

In this research work, the sampling method used here is Non Probability Sampling in which Convenience Sampling has been used.

The secondary data for this study was obtain from the related literature & other data present in the companys record on the subject, & formal & informal discussions The literature related to the research topic includes Books related to Marketing Management Company manuals, magazines & other house journals of the company Websites of the company Details of data collection for Project Objectives Objective 1 I. PLAN/SCHEDULE OF DATA COLLECTION

1. For the first week, an intensive study of marketing strategy will be done. Various books, magazines, journals, research papers and websites will be the resources utilized for the same 2. The information about the company will be collected during second week.

3. During third week, the interviews of various managers and personnel will be conducted within the company and their various marketing strategies used for TATA NANO car will be studied through a questionnaire & data will be collected. 4. During the fourth week, the information will be collected by framing the questionnaires to the various users of TATA NANO car & also public opinion

about NANO car & then data will be collected and arranged systematically. It will then be analyzed in the light of the objectives framed for the project.

5. The final copy of the project report will be printed after drawing suitable recommendations and conclusion.
