Let me start by introducing myself; I am a man and yes I did come here to talk about feminism. You see feminism doesnt always apply to women. It does have a few members of the opposite sex but it doesnt mean that they completely agree with this movement. After all, feminism has been defied as illogical, unnecessary and useless by most men and some women who believe that it isnt necessary. To a certain degree modern feminism isnt but how can you be sure if the definition is varied and isnt set in stone? Well that why Im here to set the record straight!!!

True feminism does not embrace the idea that women should become more like men or that they abandon feminine characteristics and instincts. Nor does true feminism assert that women are superior to men. Instead, true feminism recognizes the natural characteristics, strengths, and abilities of women and seeks to affirm them in this idenshould be tity. As such, guaranteed equal women rights and freedoms in the community as well as career opportunities that can coexist with motherhood and the unique responsibilities it entails (Princeton).

Feminism is a movement that expresses a womans right to equality and tries to get rid of mens gender roles placed on the world. The simplicity in its name expresses the true nature of those who believe in it. Definitions of feminism has changed throughout history and at every point in time, it has been disregarded and has failed to be known as a struggle. I understand that women do have priority in this world above men (getting free drinks from men and not paying at the door to

go into a club/bar/lounge, women marry men just for money so they can survive without doing a thing and not wanting children) but there are still a lot of problems in several parts of society that both genders are not treated equal (the art world, salaries for a job, societal stereotypes). Thats why feminism is still important in todays world. As long as women arent treated equally to men in every part (at least a grand majority) of our society, then TRUE feminism will continue to move forward into a future of equallity.
