O Holy Night!

O holy night! the stars are brightly shiningIt is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error piningTill He appeared, gift of innite worth!

Behold the Babe in yonder manger lowly'Tis God's own Son come down in human form: Fall on your knees before the Lord most holy!

O night divineO night when Christ was born! O night, O Holy night, O night divine!

With humble hearts we bow in adoration Before this Child, gift of God's matchless love, Sent from on high to purchase our salvationThat we might dwell with Him ever above.

What grace untoldto leave the bliss of glory And die for sinners guilty and forlorn: Fall on your knees! repeat the wondrous story!

Behold your King, before Him lowly bend! Behold your King, before Him lowly bend!

O day of joy, when in eternal splendor He shall return in His glory to reign, When ev'ry tongue due praise to Him shall render, His pow'r and might to all nations proclaim!

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For soon shall dawn that glad eternal morn: Fall on your knees! with joy lift up your voices!

His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim! His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim!

Fall on your knees! with joy lift up your voices! His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim! His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim!

A Communion Hymn for Christmas

Gath-ered round Your table on this holy eve, View-ing Bethlhems stable we re-joice and grieve. Joy to see You lying in Your manger bed; Weep to see You dying in our sinful stead.

Prince of Glory, gracing Heavn ere time began, Now for us embracing death as Son of Man. By Your birth so lowly, by Your love so true, By Your cross most holy, Lord, we worship You!

Bethl-hems In-car-nation, Calvrys bitter cross, Wrought for us salvation by Your pain and loss. Now we fall before You in this holy place; Pros-trate we adore You for Your gift of grace.

With pro-found-est wonder we Your body take Laid in man-ger yonder, broken for our sake. Hushed in ad-o-ra-tion we approach the cup; Bethlhems pure ob-lation free-ly offered up.

Christmas Babe so tender, Lamb who bore our blame, How shall sinners render prai-ses due Your name? Do Your own good pleasure in the lives we bring; In Your ransomed treasure reign for-e-ver King!

314 What Wondrous Love Is This

What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul! What wondrous love is this, O my soul! What wondrous love is this That caused the Lord of bliss To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul, To bear the dreadful curse for my soul.

When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down, When I was sinking down, sinking down, When I was sinking down Beneath Gods righteous frown, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.

To God and to the Lamb I will sing, I will sing; To God and to the Lamb I will sing. To God and to the Lamb Who is the great I AM, While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing, While millions join the theme I will sing.

And when from death Im free, Ill sing on, Ill sing on; And when from death Im free, Ill sing on. And when from death Im free, Ill sing and joyful be, And through eternity, Ill sing on, Ill sing on, And through eternity, Ill sing on, I'll sing on, I'll sing on.
