Firefighting and rescues from incidents containing Biological Hazards e.g. Biological Animal Rescues Road Traffic Accidents Sewer Rescues
All personnel receive instruction and information on the construction of the building and hazards to be encountered with biological pathogens All personnel under strict supervision All personnel to don suitable PPE to include Chemical protection suits positive pressure Breathing Apparatus and fire kit Additional appliances and Special Units may be ordered on as necessary A Supervisory officer will attend Approach upwind / Obtain specialist advice / identify specialist decontamination needs / cordon off area / request ambulance Restrict number of personnel to risk Appointment of safety officer to look out for signs of escalation of the incident
