Operating precautions
1. Never load the tool until you are ready to use d. 2. Never cock the toolagainst the hand or point the tool at anyone. 3. lf a booster tails to igniie: a) Keep the lool pressed against the work surface for thirty (30) seconds. b) lf the boosterdoes not ignile, withdraw the tool approximately 2" from the work surface (to

recock the tiring mechanism), taking care thal it never points at yourself or anyone else. Do not pullthe baseplate out. c) Beposition the tool against the work surface, fully depress the guide, and again squeeze the trigger. d) lf the boosler still fails to ignite, wait another thirty (30) seconds, carefully remove the toolfrom the work surface,

pull oui the baseplate untilthe top of the booster magazine protrudes from the top of the tool. e) Remove the entire booster magazine from the tooland carefully dispose of it by placing il in a container of water or oil. Do not aitempt to use other boosters on the maga-

ztne. 4. Always unload the tool

Application restrictions
1 . Never attempt to fasten at an angle to the work surface. 2. Neverfasten through a pre-

drilled hole unless adequate guidance is provided. 3. Never fasten into a spalled area on concrete.

4. Never make fastenings in an explosive orflammable atmosphere. 5. Never attempt to lasten into very hard or brittle materials, such as cast iron, glazed tile, suriace-hardened or high-

tensile-strength steel, glass block, live rock, face brick, or hollow lile. 6. Never fasten to concrete closerthan 2 inches trom an unsupported edge or corner, unless a special guard, jig, or

fixure is used orthe specific application is approved. 7. Minimum iastener spacing in concrete is 2%". 8. Minimum fastener spacing in steel is 1".

9. l\rinimum thickness of base steel is %i'.

Warranty

I his new fasrenrng lool is a quality product of Hihi. lt has been developed through study and research into construction fastening methods and applications. Every reasonable precaution has been taken in the manufaciure of the tool to assure that it complies with Hilti's standard of high quality. The Hilli tool is warranted lor 5 years to the original purchaser from the date of shipment. The warranty is against defects in material or workmanship, provided that the system is used in accordance with Hilli instructions; repairs have not been made by persons olher than authorized Hilti service personnel; damage is not due to normal wear and tear; the tool has not been abused or misused: and lhe defective iool is returned

to the local Hilti representative for forwarding to the Hilti Repair Center. Parts which are found lo be defective in material or workmanship will be replaced or repaired without cost other lhan the cost of shipping and insurance. Under no circumstances will Hilti be obligated for consequential or other damages, losses or expenses in connection with or by reason of the use or inability to use the toolfor any purpose.

This warranty, which is given expressly and in lieu of all other wafianiies, expressed or implied, of merchantability, and oftitness for particular purpose, conslitutes the only warranty or guarantee made by Hilti.
