GROUP UPDATES
QUAIDS DAY
25th December is Quaids Day to honour our father of nation. Across Pakistan and overseas special programs are organized to celebrate and acknowledge his contribution.

WA MULTICULTURAL AWARDS
It is a pleasure to support Ananda Barton, a volunteer of Ethnic Communities Council of WA who has been nominated in the category of Individual Excellence Award. Ananda has always promoted our group and its activities through weekly Community Communications which he produces as his role of Literacy coordinator. Many of you would have already met him at our bowling Olympiad or ECCWA book fair which is his brainchild. His level of support is not just limited to organisational level but he also extends it at individual level. One of our key members Mr. Iqbal Khan is running a project to support education in Pakistan by transforming his home into a free school in a very remote area. Ananda has played a very important role in providing books to establish a library for an underserved area in Pakistan. Best Wishes to Ananda Barton.

FUNDING APPLICATIONS
We have been involved in a grant proposal submitted through ECCWA which has not been successful at the moment however we have been encouraged to resubmit the same proposal incorporating the feedback for the second round. This is work in progress. The second project for bowling night is also submitted and outcome is awaited.
