Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to elimination of extreme poverty. We are in process of obtaining approval from government for initiating a new project on Improving Livelihood Security of Vulnerable Population in Coxs Bazaar. This project will be implemented in the areas of Ukhiya and Teknaf under the Coxs Bazaar district for the duration up to June 2013. All the positions are based at Coxs Bazaar. For this new project currently we have opening for the above position.

The Administrative Officer is responsible to ensure effective and efficient administrative and logistical support and resources including a safe, secure and attractive physical environment for the field based staff to achieve the objectives of the project.

Major areas of responsibility:

To ensure efficient and effective provision of administrative support services and resources for smooth running of the offices and programmes in a cost effective manner; To ensure a professional office environment with all required fixed assets properly available and ensuring regular repair and maintenance of Concerns building including its fittings and fixtures, equipments and appliances;

To ensure a safe and secure office environment is available by instigating implementation of health & safety procedures and security management plan to safeguard staff, visitors and other resources and assets of the organisation;

To ensure timely provision of regular items for use in the office by maintaining a stock and establishing and maintaining effective record keeping system in line with organisational policy and procedures;

As a member of Administration Team to proactively provide high quality and effective support and resourcing services to staff of the organisation; To lead field level Services Support Team in a manner that empowers them to deliver excellent customer service and high standards; Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes by ensure that the HAP standard of accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout the organization, and at the country programme level;

Educational Requirements
Bachelor Degree (Preferably in Commerce);

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements

Two years of progressively responsible professional experience in the field of Office

Services or administration within national or international organisation;

Knowledge in dealing with govt offices and local suppliers;

Experience of working in Coxs Bazaar and understanding local dialect will be an added advantage;
