Pin Insulators 11 Kv

Pin Insulators of one piece or multi piece constructions are widely used in low cost distribution lines. Multi-piece construction makes these Insulators less vulnerable to damage as with one shell broken a multi-piece insulator can normally withstand the line voltage for a considerable time without difficulty.

Post Insulator 11 Kv & 22 Kv Post insulators have a metal bolt down base as opposed to threads. Many early multipart lines are spotted with line post insulators as replacements. Post insulators are also used in substations to insulate high voltage switching gear and transformers. There is no hobby numbering system for post insulators yet.
