CU-PHYS-307 Practical Optics 1) Determination the wavelength of sodium-D line by Newton s ring experiment.

Electronics 1) Design & Construct: a) A half adder using (1) SUITABLE gates (2) NAND gates. b) A full adder using (1) SUITABLE gates (2) NAND gates. 2) Familiarization with an oscilloscope and measure (1) an unknown freque ncy of a sinusoidal signal (2) phase angle between two a.c. sources using cath ode ray oscilloscope. 3) Determine the frequency response characteristics of passive low pass & high pass RC filter circuit using cathode ray oscilloscope. 4) Study the I-V characteristics of (1) General purpose p-n junction rectifier d iode & (2) Zener diode for both forwaed and reverse bias.hence find the Diode forward resistance for both the cases. 5) Construct a (1) Half-wave and (2) Full-wave rectifier circuit using ge neral purpose Rectifier diode and find the efficiency and triple factor for both o f them. 6) Study the characteristic curve of npn/pnp transistor in CB/CE configuration . 7) Construct a two stage R-C coupled amplifier and hence draw it s response curve. 8) Plotting the characteristic curve for diode valve 9) Plotting the characteristic curve for Triode valve
