INTRODUCTION Nursing encompasses autonomous in collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and all settings. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people. Advocacy, promotion of safe environment, research, participation in shaping health policy and in patient and health systems management, and education are also key nursing roles. It is all about serving people and self giving which requires strong well and compassion to appreciate the art of nursing, but this reason is not the main point why many students took up nursing. It only comes second in the list. The main reason is, Nursing course opens a lot of opportunities abroad. It offers bigger salary, jobs stability and benefits. Nurses who work in acute care hospital in U.K report the highest annual income of $54,745.00, a 10% increase over 2003.Office based R.Ns averaging $35,425.00 a year, earn the least. Because of these opportunities, many parents want their children to take up Bachelor of Science in Nursing and forced to enroll in the course. This research is about how the choice of students and/or parents affects the grades of the Nursing students in La Salle University. The respondents are 40 nursing students in La Salle University composing of 10 representatives from each year level. The researchers gather information by giving questionnaires asking if the course is really their choice or not and grade of one of their major subjects. The statistical tools that are being used are sample mean, standard deviation, confidence interval and testing hypothesis. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the grades of the respondents who were forced to enroll Nursing and those who were not forced. The research compares the grades of nursing students, and that those students who were forced have low grades than those who were not. Entering in nursing profession is not easy. It needs a lot of dedication and a caring heart to become an effective nurse. Taking care of the sick, educating families, giving hope to the hopeless and treating the poor are privilege given to nurses. It should be taken seriously whether becoming a nurse a choice or not.

Step 7: Conclusion
Therefore, the researchers lack sufficient evidence to prove that there is a significant difference between the mean grades of students who willingly and unwillingly choose nursing as their profession.

Therefore, the researchers are 95% confident that the true mean of nursing students in La Salle University Ozamiz City who willingly and unwillingly chooses nursing as their profession is in between 5.65 to 2.35

Recommendation 1. To the future researchers, they should allocate enough time in gathering and analyzing data to have accurate findings. 2. They should explain properly to the respondents the significance of gathering grades to the study. 3. To the respondents, they should stick to their choice about the course that they want to take because this will somehow affect their grades. 4. To the parents, they should be open minded enough about the career that their children wants to take because their children are the ones who will take the course and not them. Being honest and respectful should possess by both children and parents and giving time in discussing it is effective way to choose the right course and to avoid conflict. Conclusion The researchers had proven that indeed there is a difference between the grades of students who willingly and unwillingly studied nursing. Those students who willingly choose nursing shows higher mean grade compared to those who are forced to study nursing. Therefore, interest of the students towards the nursing field affects their grade.
