A2) pass into the farthest player forward into their feet. A3) pass into another player in an advanced position. A4) pass to a wide player. This may require a switch of play. A5) pass backwards in order to maintain possession and rebuild. SCORING: 2 teams compete and attempt to score in the opponents goal. KEY COACHING POINTS: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) Discuss the thought process from far to near when selecting a pass. Supporting players need to be infront, to the side and behind to provide options. Eyes/Head up to see opportunities. If you cant go forward, go sideways, if not sideways go back. Discuss playing into play makers if that is a tactic. Discuss the runs of the front players (i.e. Diagonal, checking, etc).

PROGRESSIONS: 1) Perform on both side of the field (switch sides) with a new starting point. VARIATIONS 1) Play 3 touch in defensive half to force more passing. 2) Play 2 touch in defensive half to force more passing. NOTES AND OBSERVATIONS: Monitor that the player look up and have a clear thought process, Watch that they dont just pass to the first player they see. Also that there is a fair risk balance in the pass they select so they dont give the ball away to easily, or conversely they never play forward and mis opportunities.
