    Dear beloved friends, Christmas 2012 Celebrating Christmas once again, I will sanctify Christ as Lord in the throne of my heart. By His indescribable gift, Christ has saved my family from sin, Satan, and death, and we are all privileged to be able to serve the Lord. What a joy to have both of my sons serving the Lord, Makito as president of Kobe Lutheran Seminary in Japan, and Naomichi as professor of Concordia Theological Seminary in America. We give thanks to God for His indescribable grace. When my wife and I went to Norway to visit the graves of the late Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel Eikli and of the late Miss Astrid Eikli in July. we were so grateful to be invited to the FLMs Annual Convention and to the NLMs General Assembly. I have found that many fruits were born by the Word of God which I have continually preached. I met some missionaries in Finland who said they dedicated their life after being comforted by the Words of John 6:1~14 at Kuopio in 1970. Likewise in Norway, Dr. H.A.Gravaas told me about Rev. Aremu Shetta, president of the Ethiopian Lutheran Church. Rev. Shetta had converted having heard John 1:29 at a small town called Dilla in 1965. This past October I met Mr.T.Nakamura in Hokkaido. He told me that 40 years ago, the Words of Gen. 26 :25 delivered him from darkness into light. His ranch farm has become larger and his house has become a beautiful Church. This year I have found a new style of evangelism, called Bible Discussion Class. This is an excellent way to build relationships, which in turn increases the willingness to open their ears and hearts to the Gospel. I have taken part in these classes at Awaji, Shikoku and Okinawa. Now, three gentlemen have converted and come to our home to study the Bible in preparation for the gift of Baptism. This has been our focus for reaching out to the people with the GospeI. Thanks be to God ! May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His loving care. We also thank you for your continued love and prayers.
