From Madna-e-Munawwara
_.

after Salt-ul-Fajr, I
have been blessed with the opportunity to write Arbana
Way Min-al-Madna-til-Munawwara meaning 40 wills
from Madna-tul- Munawwara. It is my last morning in
Madna Sharf today. The sun is about to present itself at
Majestic Mausoleum of the most beloved Prophet

in order to pay Salm. Alas! If I am not blessed with burial in
Jannat-ul-Baq by tonight, I will have to depart from Madna. Tears
are welling up in my eyes and my heart is dejected.
Afsos chand gariyn ayba k re ga hen

Alas! A few moments of my stay in Madna are left
The grief of detachment from Madna is causing a storm in my

40 Madan Wills

My heart is gloomy. The grief of detachment from Madna
has made me desperate. It seems as if someone has snatched
smile from my lips. Shortly, I would have to leave Madna. Alas!
My heart would break. The moments of departure from Madna
are emotive as if:
An infant has been detached from mothers lap and he keeps
on looking back with longing eyes that his mother will call him
back, put him in her lap, embrace him to her chest and put
him to sleep by singing a lullaby.
Now, with broken heart, I am going to mention my 40 wills;
my wills are also directed towards all the brothers and sisters
associated with Dawat-e-Islami. Further, my children and other
family members should also pay attention to these wills. Would
that I am blessed with martyrdom under the shade of the Green
Dome and the Minarets in Madna-e-Munawwara whilst
beholding the most Reverent Prophet
_.

. Would
that I am blessed with burial in Jannat-tul-Baq. Alas! Otherwise,
wherever it has been destined
Madna 1: If I am found in last breath, perform all rites
according to Sunna. Turn my face towards the Holy Qibla
and straighten my arms and legs. Read out Sra Ysn to me
as well as Naats written by Imm-e-Al-e-Sunnat Mauln
Sh Amad Raz Khn

because his work is in
total conformity with Shara and his each and every couplet
is an exegesis of the Quran, ad and the sayings of the saints
_.

Madna 2: After the soul departs from body, perform all rites
according to Sunna e.g. hastening in shrouding and burial as
making delay for gathering a large number of people is not
Sunna. The rulings described in Part-IV of Bar-e-Sharat
should be followed.
Madna 3: The size of the grave should be according to
Sunna. Make a Laad as it is Sunna
1
.
Madna 4: The inner walls of the grave must be earthen. Fire
baked bricks should not be used. If it is unavoidable to make
brick wall inside, plaster its interior sides with mud.
Madna 5: If possible, recite Sra Ysn Sharf, Sra Mulk
and Durd-e-Tj and blow on interior side of the plank.
Madna 6: The shroud, according to Sunna, should be
purchased from my own money. In the case of my destitution,
it may be purchased from all money of any Sunni having
correct beliefs.
Madna 7: Ghusl (Ritual Bath) may be given by the one having
beard and Imma and abiding by Sunna. (I would consider
it disrespect if a Sayyid gives Ghusl to my dirty body)
1
There are 2 types of graves: (1) Coffin Type: (2) Laad: To make a Laad, a grave is dug
and then, a cavity is dug in it towards Qibla for placing the corpse. Making Laad is a
Sunna. If the ground is suitable, then act upon this, but if the ground is soft then,
there is no harm in preparing coffin type grave. Remember plank etc. will have
to be installed on top in Laad like that in the coffin type. The gravedigger may
suggest to install slab in slanting position in interior side but do not listen to him.

4
Madna 8: During Ghusl, the Sitr-e-Awrat (from navel to the
complete knees) must be covered properly. If two shawls of
brown or any other dark colour are spread from the navel up
to the knees, the risk of the appearance of the shape of Sitr
would probably come to an end. However, water must flow on
every part of the body.
Madna 9: If shroud had been wet with Zam Zam or water of
Madna or both, it would be a privilege for me. Would that
some Sayyid Sahib adorn my head with green Imma!
Madna 10: After Ghusl, write
with the
index finger on the forehead before covering the face in the
shroud.
Madna 11: In the same way, write
on
the chest.
Madna 12: And near the heart, write
|
.
Madna 13: On the part of shroud between the belly button
and the chest, write:
and
.
Madna 14: From above the navel up to the head (excluding
the back), write
on shroud. Remember, all this
should not be written by an ink pen; instead, write with the
index finger (symbolically). It will be my good fortune if some
Sayyid writes all this.
40 Madan Wills
5
Madna 15: If available, sprinkle the dust of Madna on my
face substantially. If possible, place thorns of Madna over my
eyes and if thorns are not available, then place the seeds of
dates of Madna.
Madna 16: Abide by all the (relevant) Sunna while carrying
the funeral.
Madna 17: In the funeral procession, all Islamic brothers are
requested to recite the Naat Kabay kay Badr-ud-Duj Tum
Pay Karoon Durd written by Imm Amad Raz
:
(Other Naats may also be recited but only the ones written by
the scholars of Al-e-Sunna)
Madna 18: The funeral al should be led by a practicing
Sunni scholar having correct beliefs or by any Islamic brother
who abides by the Sunan or by my sons if they are capable.
However, it is my desire that Sdt-e-Kirm be given preference.
Madna 19: Would that Sdt-e-Kirm lower me in grave with
their blessed hands!
Madna 20: Making a cavity in the wall of grave towards face,
place in it Aad Nma written in handwriting of some
Islamic brother who abides by Sunna. Also place holy print of
the blessed shoes (Nal-e-Pk), picture of the green dome,
Shajra Sharf and other Holy relics.
Madna 21: Would that I get burial in Jannat-tul-Baq! Otherwise,
bury me in neighbourhood of some Beloved of All
.
. If it is

not possible either, then bury me wherever the Islamic brothers
desire, but do not bury me in a seized piece of land as it is arm
to do so.
Madna 22: Utter An by the grave.
Madna 23: Would that some Sayyid Sahib perform Talqn

Madna 24: If possible, those who love me should sit around
my grave after the burial for 12 days or for at least 12 hours
and keep me delighted by reciting the Holy Quran, Naats,
amd and Durd.

I will get accustomed to my new

on all other occasions.
Madna 25: If debt is due on me, pay back it from my assets.
If there are no assets of mine, my offspring, if alive, are
requested to pay back the debt or some other Islamic brother
to do this for me. All
.
will reward with great recompense.
(Announcement should be made in various Ijtimt that if
Muammad Ilys Qdir has hurt anyones feelings or violated
someones rights, forgive him. If someones debt is due on him,
either contact his heirs or forgive him).
Madna 26: If supplication of my forgiveness and donation of
awb is made to me abundantly and persistently, it will be a
great benevolence for me.
Madna 27: Everyone should stay steadfast on the path of
Al-e-Sunna according to the true Islamic teachings of Imm-
e-Al-e-Sunnat Mauln Sh Amad Raz Khn
,
|
.
Madna 28: Avoid the company of religious bigots as keeping
their company is a great obstacle in having a good end.
Madna 29: Stick to the devotion and Sunna of the Prophet

steadfastly.
40 Madan Wills
8
Madna 30: Never become negligent in offering of daily al,
Ramadan Fasting, Zak, ajj and other obligatory acts and
Sunna.
Madna 31: Important will: Always remain loyal to Markaz
Majlis-e-Shr of Dawat-e-Islami. Obey every such command
of its every member as well as your every Nigrn that is in
conformity with Shara. I am fed up with the one who goes
against Shr or Dawat-e-Islamis any other responsible brother
without a Shar permission.
Madna 32: Every Islamic brother should take part in local
visit for calling towards righteousness at least once a week
from beginning to end and should travel in Madan Qfila for
3 days every month, 30 days every 12 months and at least 12
months continuously within his lifetime. For the attainment of
steadfast reform of character, Islamic brothers and sisters
should fill in the Madan Inmt card daily and submit it to
their immadr (overseer) every month.
Madna 33: Keep on spreading the message of love and Sunna
of the Holy Prophet

in the world.
Madna 34: Keep on struggling against false beliefs, bad deeds,
worldly desires, arm earnings and prohibited fashion etc.
Further, keep on calling towards righteousness with sincerity
and Madan sweetness.
Madna 35: Avoid anger and peevishness like plague otherwise,
religious services will become difficult for you.
40 Madan Wills
9
Madna 36: It is a Madan request to my heirs to abstain
from earning worldly wealth through my books and cassettes
of speeches.
Madna 37: Follow the rulings of Shara regarding my
inheritance.
Madna 38: I have forgiven, in advance, anyone who swears
at me, causes me harm, injures me or hurts my feelings.
Madna 39: No one should avenge those who distress me.
Madna 40: If someone martyrs me, I have personally forgiven
my rights and I also request my heirs to forgive him. If, by
virtue of the intercession of the Prophet
,

blessed on the Day of Judgement,

I will take my
murderer to Heaven provided that he died as a Muslim.
(Do not cause any violence or give any strike-call if my
martyrdom takes place. If strike implies forcing the Muslims
to stop trading and stoning their shops, vehicles etc., no Mufti
of Islam can declare such violations of peoples rights as
permissible. This sort of strike is a arm act leading to the
Hell. These types of emotional acts bring about nothing except
religious and worldly loss. Usually, the strikers relent soon and
finally, the administration overcomes them.)

I had the Habit of Singing Songs
An Islamic brother (aged 25) of Drig Road (Bb-ul-Madna
Karachi) says:
I performed Itikf in the last 10 days of Ramadan in the
company of the Prophets devotees in Faizn-e-Madna, the
international Madan Markaz of Dawat-e-Islami, the international
non-political movement of the Quran and Sunna. I was
extremely blessed in that Itikf. One of the blessings was that I
gave up my habit of singing songs whilst walking about like
loafers and
.|
I began to recite blessed Naat instead. I
also developed the mindset of practicing the Qufl-e-Madna of
the tongue (avoiding unnecessary and evil speech). Now,
whenever I utter any useless and unimportant word, I instantly
recite Durd Sharf to compensate for it.
