RESOLUTION No. VI Series 2012 RESOLUTION HUMBLY REQUESTING THE SECRETARY ROGELIO SINGSON, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, TO GRANT TWENTY FIVE MILLION (Php 25,000,000.00) PESOS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEAWALL FOR BARANGAY SAN PEDRO, NARVACAN, ILOCOS SUR. WHEREAS, for the past several years, the subject Barangay had always been the worse hit locality in every storm that pass through the region leaving Barangay San Pedro with not less than one or two houses washed out by the raging waves; WHEREAS, efforts to curb the problem served futile either because of budgetary constraints by the Municipality of Narvacan or the province of Ilocos Sur to construct an effective seawall covering a substantial stretch of the coastline; WHEREAS, a continuing effort by the barangay folks here and abroad was made to save the diminishing land mass of Barangay San Pedro to come up with the Budget to cover at least three hundred meters of the Coastline is more than an impossible dream rather than a reality; NOW THEREFORE, upon the suggestion of ATTY. ERIC GABATINO, a Solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) and a constituent of Barangay San Pedro, representing DPWH in the expropriation cases for the construction of the Tarlac Pangasinan La Union Tollway (TPLEX) Project, the Barangay Council of San Pedro, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur unanimously approved the passing of this Resolution to the Honorable Secretary ROGELIO SINGSON for his kind approval;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution be presented through the kindness of Honorable Zoriel Singson Zaragoza Mayor of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur for immediate approval.
