2. GENERAL INFORMATION
Thank you for choosing the MEDEL CARDIO XT BIKE as your personal trainer. In order to be able to make the best use of this device, please read the instruction manual carefully. Do not discard keep the manual for future reference Important: please NOTE: that the Heart Rate Monitor is NOT a medical device and is not to be used as such.

Real Time 12/24 Hr Speed with Comparison Mode Current Speed will be displayed in every second. Comparison with average speed will be taken. It will show UP or DOWN icon when it is riding. Average Speed Mode (AVG). Show the average speed. AVS is generally defi-
ned as, AVG = Total Effective Distance / Total Effective Ride Time. 5. Maximum Speed Mode (MAX). Show the maximum speed of the trip. 6. Trip Meter Mode (DST). Show the trip distance of riding. Unit is in Km or Mile. 7. Odometer Mode (ODO). Odometer is the accumulative distance of the unit after power up or reset. Unit is in Km or mile. 8. Auto Ride Timer Mode (ATM). Display the time that connected to bike sensor. 9. Wheel Size Mode. 1 programmable wheel size (wheel circumference in mm). 10. Scan Function Mode. The DST, ATM, ODO, AVG, MAX will be displayed for 2 seconds cyclin. 11. Heart Rate Mode. Show the current heart rate. HR measurement is in beats per minute ranged from 30 to 240. The heart rate icon will shown on the screen when the heart rate sensor is connected, the outer frame will flash at 2Hz. If No heart rate signal input, after 90 seconds, the current value of heart rate will display

with wireless receiver OFF (the average and maximum heart rate value is unaffected). To start the heart rate measuring, press [START] to activate HTM mode, the receiver will turn ON again. Average Heart Rate Mode. Show the average heart rate of the time from stopwatch AVG HR = Total number of heart beats (impulses) / time of stopwatch. 3 target zones setting. Flash the heart rate icon (inside and outside) when the heart rate is greater than the defined heart rate settings. Flash the heart rate icon (inside and outside) when the heart rate is smaller than the defined heart rate settings. Flash the heart rate icon (outside only) when the heart rate is in the range of the defined heart rate settings. Calorie Mode - Calculate the calorie consumption depend on following situation: Heart rate receiving and bike riding. Heart rate receiving and Bike is stop. Energy Save Function. If No any signal connected or key pressed, after 5 minutes, the product will go to sleep mode. Only the time will display on the LCD.
Input Speed signal or press any key can wake up product. It will wake up on current mode. The LCD will be OFF (no any display) when time reach 12:00:00am or 00:00:00 except the product is riding or the product go to sleep mode after 12:00:00am or 00:00:00. 16. Bike Mount.

Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to set time (HH:MM:SS). Press [START] to advance the value of digit. Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to next digit to continue editing. After completed editing, press [SET] to jump back to Clock mode.

In Distance Mode press [MODE] to this mode, the ODO logo will display. The ODO value will show on the second line of the display.

Press [MODE] to change to HTM mode, you can either choose as your target zone. Press [SET] to select profile of heart rate to edit. Press and hold [SET] with 2 second to edit the heart rate limit (default Upper is 180 and Lower is 60, Maximum Upper and Lower is 299) that in selected target zone. Press [START] to advance the value of upper and lower limits you desired. Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to next digit to continue editing. After you have completed, press [SET] to jump back to Heart Rate mode. During exercise, heart rate is kept on measuring. If heart rate is out of the target zone, zone alarm (beep beep sound) will be given out.

Gently place the new battery into the battery slot of the battery compartment, making sure that the poles are correctly placed. Screw back the compartment lid. Should the LCD show irregular figures, take out the battery and install again. This will clear and restart the MEDEL CARDIO XT BIKE.

HEART RATE BELT 1. Hold the Heart Rate Belt firmly. Insert a coin into the slit of the compartment lid and turn it clockwise. The lid should come off easily. (Remove used battery CR2032 ) (pic. 2). 2. Gently place the battery into the battery slot of the battery compartment (pic. 3). 3. Put the compartment lid back into place and tighten it firmly by turning it anti-clockwise with the help of coin.

14. WARRANTY
Warranty conditions The device is covered by a 2 years warranty from date of purchase for any defects in the design or in the materials used. The warranty consists in the replacement and/or repair free of charge of originally defective components. The warranty does not cover the accessories supplied with the device and those parts subject to normal wear and tear. The device must be repaired by authorised technical service centres only. The device must be sent to the authorised service centre for repair within 8 days after the defect is noticed. Transport costs for the device are at users charge. Any repair out of warranty conditions are at users charge. The warranty does not cover failures resulting from misuse, abuse of the product or in case the damage is not due to manufacturers liability (accidental fall, rough transportation, etc.). The warranty does not involve any compensation for any kind of damages to persons or

things, either direct or indirect, occurred when the device is not operating. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase certified by the ticket or the invoice which have to be peremptorily attached to the warranty coupon. The lack of warranty coupon properly filled in and validated by a certification of purchase voids the warranty.
