Study materials that I used: - USGBC Study Guide With shipping and tax I paid $92.

50 for this and it's NOT worth it. The three main things I found myself referencing from this were the Minimum Program Requirements (MPRs), when to use each LEED rating system and the vocab words. These three sections of information can be found for free at the following links: MPRs: http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=6715 LEED rating systems: http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=6667 For vocab words: see the glossary at the end of the LEED for Homes Rating System http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=3638 Regarding rating systems, know that: 4 or more habitable stories in a building means it cannot use LEED for Homes it must use New Construction or Major Renovations. A major renovation must include work to the HVAC system and building envelope. Projects that are LEED for O&M certified must re-certify every 5 years. Note: I did NOT buy the USGBC Green Building and LEED Core Concepts Guide.

- LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations Rating System http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=8868 This was my main study guide. Know this information well! Know the credit categories, how many points are available for each category, how many prerequisites there are for each category, know the general requirements of each prerequisite and credit, know which credits fall under each category, memorize every standard thats listed in here (e.g. SMACNA) even if its listed in a footnote (e.g. Green Score). Basically, if you see an acronym, memorize it. It doesnt seem like you have to memorize formulas (e.g. formulas for Enhanced Refrigerant Management, Heat Island Effect Roof, etc.)

- Leed Green Associate Candidate Handbook http://www.gbci.org/main-nav/professional-credentials/resources/candidate-handbooks.aspx I downloaded and read through this once. - CRI rules http://www.gbci.org/Certification/Resources/cirs.aspx I read through this once or twice.

- LEED Certification Fees http://www.gbci.org/main-nav/building-certification/resources/fees/current.aspx I read through this once or twice.

- Sustainable Building Technical Manual Part II http://www.gbci.org/Libraries/Credential_Exam_References/Sustainable-Building-Technical-ManualPart-II.sflb.ashx I read through this once or twice. Particularly focus on Figure 1 and which steps are in each phase of the process.

- LEED for Homes rating system http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=3638 I (quickly) read through this entire thing once.

- USGBC Trademark Policy http://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=3885 I read through this once. - GreenLearner.com I took four practice tests on GreenLearner.com and learned a lot from reviewing my tests afterwards. They provide great information (including many of the links that I provided above). This was a great learning tool and good test of knowledge to know if I was ready to take the actual exam.
