January 1, 2013 Greetings to you and your loved ones from The Hernandez Family in Central Iowa! We hope that your new year is off to a wonderful start. Jenna-Marie and I are writing to tell you about the exciting opportunity we will have this Spring as part of a team that will travel to Nicaragua March 17-23, 2013. Our church, Harvest Vineyard Fellowship in Ames, is participating with an international ministry called Arms of Love. Arms of Love is a Christian ministry that establishes and operates childrens homes that provide long-term care for orphaned, abandoned, and abused children. Our time in Nicaragua will be spent at two different childrens orphanages assisting, playing with, talking to, hugging, and loving on the little ones. We will also do building projects in and around the orphanages. Jenna-Marie and I want to reach out to you and ask for your support both financially and in prayer for our travel, our time and efforts in Nicaragua, and our safety and well-being. We have committed to raise a total of $3,000 to cover the cost of travel and lodging as well as support for the Arms of Love ministry. Small acts of love done with great kindness will change the world, Mother Teresa once said. That is exactly what we hope to do change the world by loving the orphans and homeless in Nicaragua. Please thoughtfully consider supporting us in our effort by: Praying for us, our team, and the adults and children we will meet in Nicaragua. Providing financial support to help cover the costs of the trip, totaling $3,000.
