PROJECT CHARTER I. Project Name OGC PM Training Roll-Out II. Authorities A. Initiating Authority Vicky Morris, Director B. Project Manager <Student Name> is authorized as project manager for this project and will be the primary point of contact. <Student Name> is responsible for meeting all key milestones within the time, cost, and performance constraints of this project. Furthermore, <Student Name> has the authority to apply organizational resources to accomplish the goals of this project. III. Business Need the Project Addresses All Business Transformation team members must provide consistency in developing project schedules in order to efficiently manage the many projects that will fall under the Business Transformation umbrella. Team members must be able to identify all new internal project management processes that are the direct result of the Business Transformation acquisitions. IV. Project Description A. Product/Service Characteristics Internal Training For all new internal processes that are the direct result of the Business Transformation acquisitions. External Training Outsource Trainer provider to conduct a basic, intermediate, and advanced level of training on the project software. Pre- and Post Assessment A pre- and post-assessment will be used to assess each manager at a 75% or higher score in their knowledge of the software. B. Project Relationship to Business Need The training initiative is to provide managers with the necessary knowledge to manage their individual projects with an understanding of how the project schedule, costs, and resources directly impact the overall business transformation project management objectives. Consistent reporting methods across all teams must be implemented. Managers will be required to use standardized scheduling documents in order to provide consistent project status reports to senior management.

V. Constraints The project completion must be on or before April 20th. The project must be completed within the $100,000 budget.

VI. Assumptions Since the company cannot provide the software training due to classroom and computer limitations, it is expected we will need outside help from a training provider who has expertise with the project software and can manage the classroom training. Internal training will be developed by the Business Transformation PMO team. External training provider will provide the pre- and post-assessment tool for testing software knowledge.
