Finn called the First Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

ROLL CALL SALUTE TO THE FLAG RECORDS


The Tabled Records of December 11, 2012 were passed to Councillor Marks. The Records of December 18, 2012 were passed to Councillor Penta 13-001-Election of a Council President for 2013 Administration of Oath to Council President 13-002- Election of a Council Vice President for 2013 Administration of Oath to Vice President 13-003- Offered by Councillor Dello Russo Be It Resolved that the Standing Committee Rules be adopted as the Standing Rules of the City Council insofar as they are applicable. 1

13-004- Offered by Councillor Dello Russo Be it resolved that the City Council transfers all papers in committees or on the Table from the 2012 Council to the 2013 Council. MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 13-005-Offered by President Maiocco Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council commend and congratulate W. Warren Ramirez on his recent retirement. Warren has been in the Banking Business for 45 years and will be retiring from the Brookline Bancorp in Medford. Warren has also been active in activities with Grace Episcopal Church, in many Civic Organizations and is a member of the Commissioner of Trusts Funds of Medford. 13-006-Offered by Councillor Caraviello Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council commend and congratulate Lino and Audrey Avellani of Lino & Audrey's Restaurant for 32 years of service to the community of Medford. The Avellani's will be retiring from their business after spending 32 years on Mystic Avenue Be it further resolved that a Council commend Lino and Audrey with a council commendation for their dedication to the community of Medford. 13-007-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be It Resolved that the Winter Parking Ban be discussed. Be it further resolved that Medford residents be allowed to speak on the issue. 13-008-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be It Resolved that the Medford City Council be updated with regard to the police radios that have been purchased. When will they be replacing the old radios, and have they been tested throughout our entire community? 13-009-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the unresolved or yet to be determined matters that completely disrupted the operations at the Medford Housing Authority during 2012 be discussed.
