Overview: Welcome to Advanced Broadcast Video Production! We have made tremendous strides in our production quality in the years that I have been at North Cobb, and I expect this year to be no different. Be prepared to push yourself to learn something new this semester and lets see just how good we can be. Georgia Performance Standards: I intend to use my blog this year as an extension of the classroom, and as a part of that I am putting lots of relevant information up in cyberspace. You will be able to find the standards on the class blog. Blog: http://northcobbbvp.blogspot.com Supplies: Every student in Broadcast Video Production is expected to have the following: 1. A Professional and regularly checked email address 2. A Portable Media Storage Device (a flash drive with at least 4GB of storage space) Procedures & Discipline: The class procedures can also be found on the class blog, but are listed below for clarification. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Be respectful. Act professionally. Dispose of all food, candy, gum, and drinks before entering the classroom. NO exceptions. Follow all rules as outlined in the NCHS Student Handbook. Ask three then me.

Electronics Policy: Cell phones use is not permitted in the classroom, unless given permission by the teacher. Music players (not cell phones) can be used only with teacher approval. Students are to remove headphones or ear buds before entering the classroom. Inappropriate use of technology (anything not expressly directed by the teacher) can result in an immediate referral and revocation of technology privileges. Attendance: Any student who is not in class for any reason (excused, unexcused, I.S.S., O.S.S, etc.) is responsible for making up the work missed. All assignments missed will initially be entered as a 0 and you will have one week from the first day back to make up the assignments. As many of our assignments will be group work, which cannot be completed individually, some missed assignments may be substituted with an alternative assignment at the teachers discretion. Grading: Each assignment given this semester will be divided into one of two, which are listed below. Individual Production 50% Collaborative Production 50%

I am a representative of the program and as such should always follow the classroom procedures.
