DESCRIPTION:
A Robot can be of any type to manufacture. Even though the robot can do anything it seems a useless thing if it is uncontrollable. Here controlling a robot is main task by arranging a metal detector circuit on the embedded platform which arranged on the robot. In this project we are communicating robot with light (I.R.) as a transmission media. T.V. remote transmits different data for different keys which is in the RC5 code standard. By decoding the transmitted coded data we will get different data for different keys. The I.R. modulated data from the T.V. remote is received at the receiving end. The receiving end consists of I.R. detector and metal decoder circuit. The metal detector circuit, which is mounted on the embedded microcontroller board, consists a coil to monitor continuously for the metals on the surface. The remote is used to control the robot. Whenever a metal is detected on the surface, the buzzer arranged on the board will ring to alert.
